I think this is cool that they are showing 90s and 2000s shows on adultswim for adults who grew up watching them as kids. And on Friday afternoon is Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball Z Kai, and Naruto.
Is there a way to emulate Pokemon Emerald on the wii and use the online feature as well? That would be the most convenient for many players who dont have link cables, or in my case my link cable is very finnicky.
Hey not sure I know technically Dolphin does both at the same time not sure if the Wii would be powerful enough or have emulators support to run both at the same time.
Db kai is for manga fans who already have the manga at home... DBZ fans want a mix of the og ocean & funimation dubs just like in the late 90s early 2000s when we were kids & teenagers those dubs had better voice acting & dialog... Well ocean dub not so much but it had a really good vegeta voice actor who had some iconic moments.. Replacing the dbz we grew up with db kai on the rewind would be an insult to true og dbz fans & pointless since db kai has already had much more recent releases on other networks.. It's been too long for dbz fans tho so don't even bother if you're just air db kai for the millionth time.
I just want old toonami bumpers & promos. Tom was essential to Toonami and not having old school Tom/promos really kills the “rewind” brand they are trying to push
All of your opinions on what you think should be added to Toonami Rewind - I completely agree! And I wanted to take a minute to say 'Thank You' for having actual legitimate constructive criticism of ways Toonami Rewind could improve. And not just legitimate and constructive, but actually intelligent. Thank you so much for that. The amount of comments I see daily that say things like "Oh, they should've used the original Sailor Moon dub." or "Oh, why didn't they air the original Dragon Ball Z?", or my absolute favorite, "Why did they include Naruto and not something like Reboot or Gundam Wing?" They didn't use the old DiC dub of Sailor Moon for a multitude of reasons, most of which are common sense. They didn't air the OG DBZ also for a multitude of reasons, but think about it, would you pay a couple hundred thousand dollars for a license for a 291 episode show to put on your fresh, just starting out block when you don't even know if it will a be success? You already have the license to DBZ Kai so you might as well air that. And finally, they included Naruto because what Toonami Rewind is, at its core, is a celebration of ALL of Toonami, not just 1999 to 2002 like some of these people think. They included Naruto because that was a huge show for Toonami in the mid-2000s and including that will also include fans who have nostalgia for the later years of Toonami. < That last part btw believe it or not is the most incredibly hard-to-understand thing for most people I've tried to explain it to. They always respond with, "They should've just aired [insert anime here]." And it's like... *sigh* TL;DR - Great video, keep up the good work.
Agreed, I would've liked to see more of the Tom 2 era branding. Only other thing I'd like to see is Saturday night being extended to 6am. Other than that, I'm happy with Toonami being limited to Friday & Saturday.
@@justcoldk Haha. In all fairness, it's because I record the whole broadcast. If I wasn't, I probably would be watching only a couple of the shows. But that's my one complaint about the midnight run. Back in the day they used to pad out their timeslot with a hodgepodge of old cartoons (Thundercats, Voltron) and non-anime ones too (Powerpuff Girls). I'm surprised they haven't done that.
The first time I was introduced to Naruto was watching the first episode in anime club in college...with sub no less. I don't think anyone back then could have predicted what a massive anime it would become.
If they want to "win millennials back", they need to remove some of the garbage from Adult Swim and bring back more classics. Outside of new episodes, there's only so many times you can rewatch Rick & Morty, or American Dad. I find it hard to believe CN doesn't have access to a library of classic shows that don't require any purchasing of licenses to air. Plus, CN isn't usually part of a basic streaming package, requiring to pay more just to access it. If they expect millennials to come back, they really need to air content that's worth paying to watch.
I agree Adult Swim has some classics like Home Movies that it would be nice to have in rotation. Didn’t know about CN being out of the basic package for some providers
@@justcoldk Yep. Anytime I've looked into getting CN, it's never been in the cheapest/basic tier, whether it's streaming services or actual cable packages.
For Toonami Rewind? it's a tie between Mob Psycho 100 and Cybersix. If Toonami can't afford to air the remaining 25 episodes of Mob Psycho 100, hopefully they can air Cybersix since Disney XD is not doing anything with the Fox Kids library lately. I mean, Toonami was able to get TMS anime before thanks to the Lupin dubs, Dr.STONE and Megalo Box; why not air Cybersix completely uncut?
Wow had to look up a video on Cybersix. I was more of a Fox Kid kid and never heard of it. Seems like they were trying to compete with Kids WBs more mature shows. Thanks for this!
Watch (Gash) Bell is great! I rewatched it in college like 10 years ago and then continued into the last 50 episodes that were Japanese only and then straight into the manga cause it was just so good. My god, that series goes so hard and it only gets better as it goes along. Seriously, Folgore and Kanchome's last scene together was the greatest thing ever, I can't believe it's manga only. Folgore for most invincible "normal human" in anime/manga. He truly deserves the title of Iron Man
About that only 75 out of 150 Episodes got a ENGLISH 4kidstv/Toonami did the other 75 did not and ONLY 100 Zatch Bell episodes IN English are still the only ones for a Online Dub.
Honestly bro, I need help getting my parents and friends to watch shows I’m interested in. I consider some shows as more public interest than full on prepper . Toonami rewind isn’t going to work without the OG target demographic (kids who were 8 -> 16 @ launch).
You’re looking too far into it brother it’s just a fun quick video. The caption is about Bob-omb battlefield being Mario’s first 3D stage. It doesn’t have to be the SM64 for the statement to hold.
