Hello all, I am just your average guy that likes guns, beer, fast cars, and trucks. I work a normal 9 to 5 and decided to start doing various reviews on guns, outdoor stuff, and blogs on my outdoor adventures. I don't have stacks of cash to go and buy the top shelf equipment, so I look for the best bang for the buck as most average American's do. If you have any suggestions of things you would like to see me try, put them in a comment on one of my videos and I'll do my best to do a video. You'll often see cameos of my family, including my kids who are starting to get involved in shooting and just the outdoors in general.
That Midwest Industries blast can does work to put the sound more down range, away from the shooters ears, but AR pistols are so stupid loud and concussive that you would prob blow your windows in your house out if you used it in home defense. Way too much unburnt powder.
i had issues hearing you over the music that I assume was supposed to be in the background instead of you being in the background. maybe it's i'm just old and going deaf LOL................ thnx for the info just starting to do some stuff to my titan to get out on trails for the 1st time ever.
Looks good! Rocking the sightmark! I had one of those on an old pistol. Just finished a blackout and grendel pistol and seeing how people like those flash cans/linear comps for keeping the sonic blast away from range neighbors. My blackout i was pondering the idea of using it for home defense with a flash can. Would obviously keep electronic ear muffs with the gun. Also decided on 10 o'clock for the flashlight.
Thanks for sharing, have a similar setup and felt this was the most 'legit' option. I'm also in NC and AT3 ships pretty damn decent, PSA also has nice shipping time frame. Luckily I have a Cabelas up the street for a back up
@@Uno91180 on google maps, look for RTE613 in Troutdale, VA. That will get you to the scales. Some of those other trails were in the surrounding area while we were exploring.
Best investment out of the entire build. I use it all the time and not just for camping. Have had a replacement cover shipped out to me since stitching started coming apart but OVS has amazing customer service and they hooked me up with no questions.
Sucks that happened! hopefully it was still in good shape when you got it sorted out. If you do have problems OVS has some great customer service and will probably hook you up if anything is wrong.
@@TitanOverland thanks man. I actually ended up fixing it but it took some evenings. It’s a great system. Love your rig. I’ll take a video of mine sometime and put it up
Where did you get those awning brackets! I have the same set up and I just ordered the same awning. I’m stressing about how to mount it. Seems like it works good with the smittybuilt tent though so that’s reassuring.
I got the brackets through kbvoodoo. The same manufacturer of the bed rack. Check out my awning video and it goes through a thorough breakdown of that set up! Thanks for watching!!
@@TitanOverland great! I ended up watching most of your videos yesterday. Thanks! All good info. Got my awning set up yesterday. It is a really great product. I used bungees attached to the awning and was able to get all the tent windows open as well.
I just bought a 2023 titan. Can't wait to get it out in the woods. VA. is my home state. I was raised in Radford. I spent a lot of time in that forest.
Had similar issue, with only 2 M-lok slots per side, is hard to fit due to the gas block blocking at least 3/4 in of the 2nd slot so I had to use shorter bolts and push the grip forward so it wont make contact with the gas block, is also a 300 ACC do the barrel is thicker and is very close to the hand guard so I had to use a shorter bolts so that it would not touch the barrel. Recommend you get at least a 3 M-lok slot hand guard cuz some accessories require 3 slots.
I have this exact pistol was 700 flat but came with a different type of brace but I took it off immediately cuz fcck the new atf law I have not shot it yet tho
You mentioned being a fullsize on the trail. If you could go back would you still choose the titan over a smaller mid-size. I'm in the market for a work/adventure rig and on the fence about full-size vs mid-size. The titan is on my list. Your truck is awesome btw.
I would absolutely choose a full-size again. I say this because of what I do. I don't always go to places like hurricane creek that demands wheeling. I have taken two 14+ day overland trips out west and up to Maine and being able to have the payload capacity without having to do a ton of upgrades like midsize trucks need is pretty awesome. Not to mention all the other various weekend and week trips I have taken. I also love that I don't have to worry about my engine struggling with payload and being off-road. My truck fully outfitted with 2 adults, 2 kids, all the camping gear we need for 2 weeks, bed rack, awing, RTT, shower, and whatever random other gear we would need tops out around 7700 lbs. The only thing I have done to the rear suspension is upgrade the rear shocks. Upgraded rear leaf springs are on the list but hasn't held me back. I can't imagine the upgrades I would have to do to a midsize to be able to accomplish that and also how much strain that would put on a small motor like a tacoma or ranger. Plus, more cabin room than a midsize for those long trips. 2 teenage girls in the back seat need their room!! LOL. Hope this helps and if you have any other questions feel free to hit me up.
@@TitanOverland Thank you for the reply. Your response and sharing your experience was very helpful! One last question. Did you decide on the titan because it's what you had at the time or did you seek it out?
@@codysanders6201 for sure! I ended up buying it off a buddy for a song since it had some rear-end issues that needed to be taken care of. Overall, I really like the Titan platform because they are pretty robust trucks with great engines. Drawbacks are the rear end and a diff breather is a must. It’s also easy to work on them. Plus they have the Pro-4x version that comes with a rear locker. I have an 05 which preceded the pro4x version, but it’s still the off-road edition that came with a locker. Would also recommend looking for one with the big tow package as that comes with the better gear ratio. 3.36 I believe. Hope that helps!
OHHH NOOO HES SHOOTING IT SHOULDERED WHAT EVER WILL WE DO?!?!😱😱😱😱god help us all🤦♂️😂may your sins be forgiven 😭😂FTP FTG SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED DEFUND THE ATF🖕👮♂️🚮
I still have the Titan, she's down right now. New PS pump and steering rack has to go in it. Life has been keeping me busy and out of the woods unfortunately. I still have some things I want to publish, time is my enemy right now. Anything you would like to see in the future in particular?
I can definitely tell a that it throws the sound more forward than the standard A2. As far as reduction, I wouldn't say it actually reduces the overall sound. I wouldn't willingly take off ear pro and shoot it. Only time I would do that is in a real world defense situation
UPDATE... I decided to give this one more chance... I told OVS I needed a new cover and mentioned my covers in the past did not fit. They gladly shipped me a cover at no charge and to my delight it fit much looser and it easily zipped right up. I will enjoy being able to use this awning again.
That's awesome! That is one thing I really like about OVS. Their customer service is top notch! They shipped me a new cover when I told them some stitching was coming apart on the old one. Great people over there! @overlandvehiclesystems
Yea, that was one of the early videos and some editing mistakes that slipped past me. I appreciate the feedback. The newer videos are way better editing wise.
Def! The light is great. The pressure switch...not so much. I switched mine out with a surefire endcap/pressure switch. Works like a charm for a fraction of the cost.
