Diesel Tent Heater - Stay Warm Camping This Winter for Cheap! $

Recently purchased a Diesel Heat Exchanger from Amazon and constructed a little tool box housing unit to use while camping in my rooftop tent. Powered by my Jackery 240, it kept running all night and warm in sub freezing temps! Quick overview of it running at the campsite and overview of the construction. It was super simple to put together, just gotta figure out a more permanent mounting solution for a fuel tank. This is MUCH safer than having a Mr. Buddy heater in your tent or using a super power consuming heating blanket. So check it out and let me know what you think in the comments below!

Great setup! Thanks for sharing. I was wondering: how do you vent the XL tent at night? What do you keep open/ closed? I have the same tent and have been struggling with condensation and ventilation. Any tips would be appreciated!

What kind of heater are you using? With the diesel heater I have zero condensation because it blows dry air. With a buddy heater, moisture is released when the propane burns. In cold weather I usually keep the skylights open but that is really to balance out the heat. I've never had any condensation issues with the diesel heater, one of the many perks!

@@TitanOverland gotcha thanks for sharing! We were using propane but we only ran it for about an hour before we went to sleep. I kept the whole tent closed up thought in an effort to trap some heat, but we woke up to quite a bit of condensation.
