As a fan of both 80s New Wave and Hair Metal, not much into (post) grunge music, but I must admit: That girl had a great Fashion Taste. Everygirl was wearing sneakers, baggy trousers and skate sweaters when this came out and I can tall you: We retarded New Wave and Glam Rock dudes all considered Shirley smoking hot!
I listen the same music with you and i agree with, but today i think that there isn't any fight between glam and grunge, if you listen Hardcore Superstars for example you can hear many grunge infuences at them, or Hannoi Rocks have punk influences.
Yeah if I look back at it I am now more 'does not matter wat sort of ruck music it is, as long as it rocks' whereas back then I was really "thos fucking grunge bastards killed the whole thing!" FrightfulAccountant me too my friend! i totaly agree with you! when i was younger i was watching mtv all the time, now i thank the God because who discovers you tube because is the only way to find good music!
