I love Shirley! I remmeber first listening to her songs when I was like in middle school...I loved her then and do so now!! My favorite part was when she was grabbing things from the supermarket and stuffing them in her coat...lol...then she's running off! Lol...classic! Love you Shirley...you are one gorgeous woman!
This song just does something to me. It's just beautiful, and it makes me feel all nostalgic for some reason. And it's an almost heart breaking song at the same time. Definitely one of my favorites from Garbage
I like the part of the song where she says "find out who you are before you regret it cause life is so short theres no time to waste it" that is so true.
In my hate/love relationship with pop, Garbage is one of the few bands that continues to make me proud. Hooks that can skewer anyones interest while generating truely inspiring lyrics and melody. I keep hoping "just one more album, Garbage!"
The setting for the video is Istanbul, Turkey. Though I listened to the song many times, I didnt have the chance to see the video. It was kinda nice surprise to me as I live in İstanbul. Thanks Shirley and Garbage, becouse I tend to forget how beautiful this city is, even without the characteristic sights. Even better with Shirley, of course.
This song hits me with a huge nostalgia wave. I remember a particular hot summer afternoon of 2005, walking back home from my summer job, listening to this song on my CD player (yes I still had one) and feeling overwhelmingly carefree. It just brought a huge smile to my face and instant boost of energy... and the only way I could react was to simply ... start running

As a fan of both 80s New Wave and Hair Metal, not much into (post) grunge music, but I must admit: That girl had a great Fashion Taste. Everygirl was wearing sneakers, baggy trousers and skate sweaters when this came out and I can tall you: We retarded New Wave and Glam Rock dudes all considered Shirley smoking hot!
I listen the same music with you and i agree with, but today i think that there isn't any fight between glam and grunge, if you listen Hardcore Superstars for example you can hear many grunge infuences at them, or Hannoi Rocks have punk influences.
Yeah if I look back at it I am now more 'does not matter wat sort of ruck music it is, as long as it rocks' whereas back then I was really "thos fucking grunge bastards killed the whole thing!" But they did not. The whole shitload of bad HipHop and R&B video's and bad reality TV on MTV made the kids of today forget about real rock music. ;)

These guys are smart and practical. They know that no matter how good the music (and I LOVE Garbage!) they will always be upstaged by Shirley's amazing looks, so they embrace that. Never more than in this vid.
This is such a typical Garbage video and miss Manson is ever so cool! I am quite flattered that part of this video was made in Berlin. Mind you Berlin is a great city !

Nevermind. Found my answer: The weekend of May 31, Manson & Muller filmed the video for "Run Baby Run" in London, Paris, Berlin and Istanbul. Locations filmed in include within Charles de Gaulle International Airport and on the Paris Métro (France); outside the Olympiastadion and in Mohrenstraße and Neu-Westend stations on the Berlin U-Bahn (Germany); and around and within Istanbul's Hotel Pera Palas, Haydarpaşa Terminal & over the Bosphorus strait (Turkey). Studio shots were filmed in London.
I like this song from Garbage, and the idea for its videoclip.. and if anybody wants to know, the green shoes Shirley is wearing are from Marc Jacobs, Spring/Summer 2005 colection :)
