Awesome video. I own a 2015 Camaro 3.6L V-6 and a 1984 Pontiac Trans Am stock 5.0L 305 V-8. Yes, the Camaro has more than twice the horsepower. But both cars are equally fun to drive. The Trans Am will definitely hold is own in the handling department though. The Camaro I am an owner. The Trans Am, I am merely the custodian.
What's up with your Camaro!? it was doing so good and just starting getting hesitant!! But you 2 arent racing on a long enough road to go more than 5 seconds!! It's much more interesting to finish a race to accuire mid and high range not just to like 60!!
Camaros problem? Doesn't have the 6 speed transmission or maybe it does but I did not see the steering wheel flip shifter for manual mode. Power band the 323 HP around. 5 to 6 grand RPMs You got to get there and run then gears at it. Also a uptune on the computer to get rid of the governor may be needed. V6 camaros can kick ass and should be able to give an old school WS6 a better run then this video. I know 450 HP 6lt V8 is what we all want
I was fortunate enough to work for a Pontiac Buick dealership during the WS6 period. I don't even like gold color cars but there was something about the pewter color on the WS6 Firebird. It's one of my favorite cars to this day. It's also ironically the first car that I had to drive a manual in. Talk about a crash course. In hindsight it was a great car for that because it had so much torque that you could be sloppy with the clutch in it and still roll forward instead of stalling.
The ws6 is lighter to reproduce the mix of prepreg, unfortunate chop glass, plastic, and as little stamped body panel as possible primarily for rigidity GM could not afford to produce 5th gen Camaro at its price in relation 4th gen solid axle corvettes. mb FH/2000/107
I've had camaros , charger Daytona , impala ss, all camaros were z28s and one iroc , mustangs I currently have a 05 gto but my favorite was my 2000 ttop trans am not a ws6 but with fuel injector swap ,pulley swap ,different heads and intake I was beating all ws6z all ss camaros and dam near anyone that had round same power range some more powerful cars the trans am will always be my favorite muscle car I mean I learned how to drive in a 77 trans am at age 14 that was goodtimes there to I'm 40 atm and don't see me not driving a muscle car hope to find another trans am soon
Gm died as a brand when they shut Pontiac down. What was once amazing, has lost their market to buyers. GM America needs you, build quality cars again.
right now i have a 98 firebird formula and im only 15 and the thing that i love about it is that the stock rims. and exhaust is stock and is loud when turning it on
02 is 4-500 lbs lighter but 100 hp less than the 5th gen. 4th gen has live axle and 5th gen has independent rear. My 02 is on my channel if you wanna check it out
