Adrian Swearengin new 6th gen camaro is rumored to be 15% lighter. I hope this is true because it definitely is an over weight car. I would expect a bit more from that massive 6.2 but it's weight keeps it slow.

The vibe actually was a great car my wife has a 2010. And yes I know its basically a Toyota with GM body panels. Although I didnt know the solora was the same as a G6? What about the saturn aura and maibu?

Fullforce LTX The old malibu was close to the camry and same goes for the geo prizm. GM has a lot of japanese cars badge engineered as their own products. This is why people shock me when they trash domestic cars reliabilty (ignorance is bliss but the japanese badge charges you more for EVERYTHING). If you look you'll notice a lot of newer toyota trucks look eerily similar to their domestic counter parts. I don't think that's a coincidence. I think toyota is gaming the system but so is GM so all is fair if you ask me. But I totally agree. The vibe is awesome. My brother rented one YEARS ago and I still remember it. Car looks good and it feels way better that the matrix if you ask me.

Honestly the only reason I trash GM is because of there horrible interior, and now the trucks look hideous (my opinon) Ive been in MANY lately that have brokin peices, paint falling off the trim, HVAC controls/actuator not working, and rattles. I will say the GTO and G8 interior was absolutely amazing for GM

Yep. It might require a little work to make the RAM-AIR hood actually functional (sealing it, proper airlid etc.), but man is it a gorgeous car.

ram air hood has been proven over & over & to be pretty much non-functional. a non ws6 trans am is no slower or faster than a ws6. ws6 has these differences only - 1. upgraded shocks(slp bilsteins) -2."ram air" hood -3.ws6 emblem. -4.ws6 wheels. a "regular" trans am with koni sa's, chris1313 or FT intake, and aftermarket wheels with at least 9" width & some quality tires of your choice is a better performing car. as in the looks department, the ram air hood is a matter of preference - some love it some hate it. i personally like either the raptor or wsq hoods - other than those 2 i'll keep a stock trans am smooth hood.

Sure, not the 900+ pounds the new camaro weighs over older muscle. New cars have more hp, but 4300lbs vs 3200-3400lbs .... its obvious the extra 150hp wont be enough for the newer camaro

You were truly blessed to have experienced such power & Grace at a young age.. My first experience driving an m6 01' Trans Am lead to an overwhelming adrenaline rush that I'll never forget.. Then I was given the opportunity to drive another Trans Am the same year but this was a WS6 also an m6.. This time the adrenaline rush was very much intentional

My first experience with any LS power at all was when I was 19 years old, a brand new, '99 30th Anniversary TransAm that belonged to an acquaintance, not myself. It was an M6 vert with white leather, blue stripes and those anodized blue wheels. It absolutely was a fast car (seemed to be that way to me anyway) at the time, even so with 2 passengers it seemed fast. I had lots of fun riding around with the top down at the beach or wherever with the owner who consistently beat the 🐶 $#!+ out of what we thought to be a pretty cool car !!!

Fast for it time !? Even in today standard it’s fast.. Come a time when the driver make the difference

02 is 4-500 lbs lighter but 100 hp less than the 5th gen. 4th gen has live axle and 5th gen has independent rear. My 02 is on my channel if you wanna check it out

I have a 98 auto z28, slp lid and headers, I've only got a chance to race an 07 Monte ss tho, I'm trying to get a few more Ws before I start to drive it like a caddy lol

+Martin Marentes 07 monte? you must have smoked him. those things are over 7 seconds 0-60. I have a 14 hemi ram now. Intake and tune, about 420hp. I think I'm around where my trans am was. I'm at high elevation now so I don't know for sure. I took 2 05-08 stang GTs and they were rated close to my trans am in 0-60.

+Martin Marentes dude those montes are SO slow! haha. i used to have a '99 mustang GT with bolt-ons and a tune. it wasn't that fast, but my bro in law wanted to race in his '07 monte carlo he was like "i can beat that little 4.6" well i fucking raped him it wasn't even a race. he couldn't believe it lol. my stang with the bolt ons and tune hung right with stock LS1 camaros, for reference. now i got a supercharged mach 1 and my brother in law wants absolutely nothing to do with it lol.

my buddy owned a 2000 ws6. he could only get a 13.7 out of it. I got 13.2 and that was only stopped because he was a little irritated I drive his car better....13.1 or lower was in hand (ohio drag strip at around 1000 feet) with that being said.... no one should fret or get in a debate with .5 seconds, specially in the 13's. the times most people are judging themselves on is that of 1 other person.... a 13.5 seems like a reasonable starting point

A lid and few free mods, can net about 30Horsepower on that LS1. putting it in the 390 range, + that SS is like 500lbs heavier.

Stephen Bagnell My '00 WS6 dyno'd at an estimated 379 at the flywheel. That's with 128K miles, original spark plugs, and the cats are clogged. It takes a little more than the air lid and free mods, but not much more. There was a noticeable difference changing the Y pipe (the OEM one is restrictive on the drivers side). I used a lighter flywheel when I had the clutch changed, which makes it rev up and down faster, and changed the way it performs. It accelerates a good bit easier. With both of those changes, downshifting behaves a lot different. It doesn't drag you down like it did stock. .. and no, that's not me in the video. I'm just watching videos of similar cars tonight. :) I don't play on the streets any more. Too many cops, and far more inattentive drivers to be careful of. Tracks are fun though. :)
