Watch me restore my classic '62 VW beetle in time for my driver's test! Using my girl-power, I bootstrap affordable solutions to all the common problems that do-it-yourself-ers face!
Excellent You may older today! Congratulations The best use of teflon tape on U-Tube so far! Beautiful design! I love how you did angled the re-filling port ! Amainzing ! Well Thought ! A Genius Solution ! As you said it ! "Dirt Cheap" Otherwise you will have used ball shut off valves ! Only one observation! The violet stuff is to swell the PVC pipes1 Yes, PVC Pipes needs to be sanded down to fit each other without mayor resistance, but not loose ! --The Violet stuff swells the applied area only ! --Let parts to dry to touch. --Apply glue pipes and put parts together with a twist motion. **** NEVER put them together with a linear insertion at all. **** ¿To void running violet every were? Mask the pipes with masking tape and news paper or flyer's papers. I would had use ball shut off valves to empty and to re-fill, but that is just me ! God Job !!! From 0 to 10, I give you 20 !!!! Atentamente, Charlie
Hannah reminds me of Jeri Ellsworth: race car fabricator and driver, computer entrepreneur, and chip designer, an extraordinary autodidact. Perhaps lightning has struck twice.
I built the Arduino assembly according to Hannah's instructions, and it worked! However, and perhaps I am mistaken, the unloading valves on the particular HF slaves that are used in the video are simply mechanical check valves that are operated via springs, and they automatically release pressure above the cylinder heads when the cylinders stop moving....therefore the unloading valves do not have to be unscrewed slightly to release pressure above the cylinder heads.
Hmm. I would have thought relays with a time delay feeding to the normal compressor electrical power inputs would be enough, if all tanks are connected together. If all tanks are connected together they will all rise and fall in pressure together. So, whenever the control compressor decides it is the right time to turn on, it is the right time for them all to turn on, and when the control compressor decides it is the right time to turn off, it is the right time for them all to turn off?
You were fine...right up until you...used PVC pipe...bad juju on so many levels, you have a good idea, just wrong materials list...use copper or pex...
Since you basically just showed people how to make a bomb in their garage, you should probably take down this video so you dont get sued when someone gets hurt....re-do in steel pipe.
Nice job! I have a long zig zag of copper pipe with drain valves after the compressor that gets rid of most of the moisture but I still want the air drier for plasma cutting and HVLP spraying. Your idea is just what I needed to keep from spending more time emptying the desiccant container than working. The one significant change I made was to use sintered bronze air mufflers for the filter instead of drilling holes in the pipe and using a screen. They are inexpensive and work well. Thanks again!
2" Schedule 40 PVC is rated to 280psi max working pressure. You just need to make sure that you have excellent glue joints. Been using this for years on a 150psi compressor with no issues. Just keep the assembly out of direct sunlight since PVC is not UV resistant.
Where is the finished product! It's been 6 years! I need an update! Lmao! Hope the kids not dead. Soda Blaster video was helpful/ well done. I can understand and think of a hundred reasons why they would have stopped the channel but seriously, if you completed the car, I'd like to see it!
Hannah, at some point in your life, we’d all love an update. Did you finish the bug? Did something happen that prevented finishing? Was RU-vid just a place you decided not to be as a young person? I still show your videos to my students at school as an encouragement, and it would be cool to have an end to the story (even if it didn’t go as planned, much of life doesn’t, and that’s a fantastic lesson for kids too).
Love to see a teen talmeted enough to do these thngs and not sit and waste away in front of a video game. But i cant watch the antics. Other than that great video
Just found your channel. Love the content. I love seeing teens building things. Kudos to your parents for instilling these skills. Please give us an update! Have you finished your bug? Are you well? Did you graduate and run off to college to become a scientist?
I can't even say enough about your knowledge and drive at your age. You remind me of myself when I was young and repairing appliances with my dad in his shop. I learned so much during those times. It's everything that contributed to who I am and what I do now. Excellent job!!! I wish my own 2 sons were interested in these things even 25% as much as you are. You have brought a smile to my face and given me hope for the next generation of DIY inventors. :)
