Same! I've always loved this intro and have always wanted to learn it. The weirdest part for me just listening to the record is trying to count it so when the band comes in it's correct. I think I'm counting 1-2-3-4 but when the band comes in on the record it's off somehow. So the 1 beat is not where I think it is. Anyway, thanks for showing me the lick. I'm playing this song on acoustic for my solo gig anyway so I'll come in with the chords when it feels right and no one will know the difference 😅
Damian , that was really deep and brave of you to share that personal and special part of your life . Sorry to hear about your friend , god bless .. the older generation have a lot to teach us . 😊🙏
Damian , man!!!… I really enjoy your video’s! … the lessons and the blues licks and the Rockabilly riffs .. but more importantly your enthusiasm and positivity. Love that Gretch Penguin 🐧!!!.. I have one as well… thank you for what you do 😊✋🏻🎸👍
Years late to the party, but thanks foer the tutorial! The tabs were slow enough to follow but also fast enough to connect with the ear. Great teaching!
for just a little more you could have the boys over at Vintage 47 build you a faithful reproduction of that old Valco circuit. Hand wired point to point and everything.
Hey Damian! Another cool video...just wanna point out you have green mold under your pickup surrounds! I noticed I had same on my White Falcon.....just unscrew the surrounds ..clean..and srew back!!...sorry for being bossy! :)🤣
Damian it would great if you revisited some of your lessons from 15 years ago with better hi def cameras and tab that would be a dream come true with you teaching those lessons like you teach today. Thanks Ed
Thank you Damian for this amazing lick. I had to slow it down but I finally got it. Now I just have to work on my speed. These old hands might still work, with your help!
Excellent!! I like the new demonstration sequence - whether it's two bars and then two bars, or one phrase then the next phrase, or the call and then the response - it's a great breakdown!! And mo' betta camera angles! Very well done, sensei!
Just ordered your Ultimate Rockabilly DVD and can’t wait to get started with my Gretsch 5420TG-59 and newly acquired Squire Jaguar. Nothing better than rockabilly and surf.
