Some people are much much worse at faster formats, and play solid stuff that doesnt win fast. My blitz rating is 600 points less than my rapid.

Same. I am 1800 and there is negative chances I would play anywhere near that level.

His account is still active. He loses a fair amount of games. At least recently. If he does it, he's not doing it continuously and a too obvious manner.

@@hagglewisherthe guy aman played against is 1700+ rapid. They both ended playing around 85% accuracy. It mightve looked sus but games like these do happen.

@@ryanpaffen83 yes, these games happen when the opponent is cheating. I have seen Aman win blitz games against 2000 rated players DOWN A QUEEN. It’s against FMs and IMs that I see Aman struggling like that to win. There is just zero chance the person who played that game is anywhere near 1400 or even 1700 for that matter.

@@StrifeZack343 They all seemed to have eaten their wheaties that day. I've been stuck at the 1800 level for a while and these players seemed to be a similar strength. I feel like with so much chess content and teaching material nowadays that everyone knows so much theory and principles, and so the playing field is just stronger now on every level. Ratings and their meanings have been evolving. For example, I have this idea that to get to the 2000 rating I have to play players who are essentially 2000 strength from about 1700 and up, so the climb just feels really heavy, it's like everyone is somewhat cemented in where they are at. Idk I would like some really strong players to weigh in and see if they are feeling this.
