I was taken to see these as a small child and loved them. My late mother purchased 2 books about them that show each room in black and white. Seeing them again in color after 40 years was a huge treat. I just wish they gave move time to really enjoy each room instead of just a few seconds.
Perfect exemple on how to waste your Life in Unuseful things. More work has been put onto this doll house than helping poor people dying in the world. I wunder how much money has been put on to this useless house. Perfect Greedy rich people that never learned the real purpose of why coming to earth.
Is this the one that’s at the Smithsonian? O.k. Just read the description..it is… I’ve seen it in person..it was my favorite thing at the Smithsonian..I could have stayed there all day.
Everything was a canvas for art. The walls, ceilings and floors were all decorated with patterns and images. The surfaces of functional objects as well. Nothing was left plain. Nature was a major theme of this art. Wood was rarely painted and large plants helped bring nature into formal spaces. It was truly an age of art appreciation.
Another wonderful older video that somehow never came up before in my search for old doll's houses. This house is so charming, and the kind my grandmother would have lived in.
