Loved to see all those Victorian toys, but was very surprised to see Paddington Bear at 5:06! As the book was first published in 1958 and the first stuffed bear was made in 1972 by Shirley and Eddie Clarkson for their children Joanna and her brother Jeremy who became a well-known BBC presenter! (Top Gear). But it did give a good impression of the contrast between "modern" and older toys!
If you come across old Victorian china heads broken or not, these look amazing in shadow boxes on the wall The Victorians threw nothing out and saved everything including string, ribbons, bobbins etc ... We are not so different as we tend to collect items as well and have a hard time parting with them.
My mil and I have a joke about "good boxes" that we save. Not exactly what you were saying, but reminded me. I have a whole corner in my basement with "good boxes." Lol
