Thanks for raising this issue, Shawn. There's something wrong here, for sure. I have never had a problem with drag and drop before, but now I find that it works okay with EZBass, but not with either EZDrummer or EZKeys. I have tried the "run as administrator" solution, but it doesn't solve the problem for me (I work in Bitwig, by the way). I will go to Toontrack with this, and see if they have any ideas.
jo, @shootie school. i watched a lot of your videos, very helpful, thank you. what i can't seem to find is how and if i'm able to comfortably program a flam into the grid editor in ez drummer 3!? i love fills and break patterns with flams on the snare and i cant get it to sound right.
A good drummer is 50% of a good rock song. It is hard to replace them with a computer, but people are finding it increasingly difficult to hear the difference on a smartphone. Sad but true
In ezd3 Bright room modern rock basic, there is 2 channel more: OH Kit and Parallel Compresion. Should parallel compresion be in separate channel 21/22 or together with some other output?
You can use the EZD3 track menu and export audio. If you want to route audio instead, here is a vid... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-m-4ZB62fUjE.html
Running your DAW as Admin is a bit of an overkill and should not be necessary. No doubt, running as Admin certainly is easier and less time-consuming than finding and fixing the underlying root problems. It kind of reminds me of shutting off the water supply to silence a drippy faucet; doing so achieves the desired goal, but there are more appropriate alternatives.
Thanks for this awesome video! I switched to Live 12 from ProTools earlier this year, and I was kind of dreading figuring this out, but your tutorial made it super easy! I love the beautiful drum sounds in EZD3 and it’s great to have access to them in the new DAW. 💫
If you made the tempo changes in Superior, export the midi file from superior. Then Import Tempo Map into Cubase. I don't have pro so I can't confirm myself.
QUESTION: @13:54 you say there are 2 kick ins when there is only one kick in and one kick out... My question is, if you hard pan left/right each of these, will you get the mono signal you are seeking? I'm not trying to be a smart-alec, i'm literally working on figuring this out for myself right now. ***EDIT*** NOPE.... I get removing the tracks now, Thank you for your awesome tutorials
I just got to the point in the stream where you said you hope I watch this, and I had to laugh. Never fear brother, it sometimes takes me a few days, but I always go through the whole thing and practice everything you teach. I'm honored you did this one based on my input, but I gotta believe this was equally helpful to a lot of others too. What can I say? Thank you so much. This will greatly improve my workflow.
You’re going to have to give me a play by play because a thousand things could be happening right now. Or join one of groups and give some screen caps.
@@ShootieSchool so I just followed your steps, open a new fresh session on pro tolls Studio, created a track , then added the plug in , and when I added the groove on EZ dRUMMER, and double click the file, the humanize option never turned on when i choose the pencil, now your trick works as stand alone with Ez Drummer BUT NOT WITH PRO TOOLS
This isn't just a good tutorial for working with the grid editor and using articulations, but a really good lesson in how the subtle differences in a groove/beat that can really change the feel of a song. Great advice.
My ways to battle those shortcuts/key command etc is assigning them into midi pad or knobs in my midi controllers . Using app called Midi Coyote . With it, I can easily switch any apps and doing different short key combination but with same pads , keys, buttons or knobs
Shawn, I had family come into town this morning and couldn't make the stream, so you'll have to bust my butt retroactively. Thank you for the shout out, but mostly for the always so helpful content.
Ya know, could just kneel down to that mighty ego your basting and let AI have it's way. What? Maybe a live stream on 'Fak3book' and we all can gawk together, enjoying your assimilation. ... 29:41 and still haven't mentioned Toontrack once. Lordy dear children of the interwebs, do awaken soon.
It was very informative video. Big thanks from Japan!! One question how do you change preset with midi?? I don’t see any key shortcut too ,so having trouble,,,😢
I've been looking at the screen of my new ezd3 for 3 days... I barely touched the basics. This video makes me feel as if I have a firm grasp in just 30 minutes. Thanks, Man. Subscribed and will be binging your videos.
@ShootieSchool Thanks. After trying different kits, I believe you're right. I need to read the manual because there's some things I don't understand. Like why do some kits have the settings for bleed, etc., and on some kits those controls aren't there.
