the cleanup part is the reason why i love having a separate space for creating videos. It's ok when the video light is just always standing around and always ready to go! Looking forward to you showing your new studio eventually
@@AttemptedMaker It's a gamechanger. Just removes a little more friction from creating 😊 I have my light on wheels as well, so i can just cart it aroudn with me
That sponsor transition was on point, Scott! Loved the Pepper segment. That top down shot was genius too! I can't wait for the "Every Single Benefit of having a Larger Maker Space & RU-vid Studio" video 😄@nanliteglobal send my man some more lights! Cheers!
Lmao.. I started watching thinking you were going to give me some tips with having a small space/office but NOPE!!! Just move house lol. Well played sir... Well played. 😂
@@AttemptedMaker I found it funny so hopefully others do too. Love your videos. Hope your move isn't too stressful. Tip for you. Label all your boxes. I didn't and when I moved, 3 months later I still can't find things. 😭
You're not alone! I live in a three bedroom with wife and kids. There's five of us total in a very small house. Our 3d printer and filament is in the living room. Our kitchen table is literally consumed by a CNC router that I built. My office doubles as my oldest son's bedroom (I built a loft bed for him above the office desk). I built bunks for the younger ones. The only thing separating our room from the stairs and rest of the house is a curtain. We all share one bathroom. Oh and rent is still ludicrous.
Great video mate. Im new to 3d printing and wanted to do something similar and was wondering how you create the mould for the scissors. Did you use some sort of phone scanning app?
I setup the lights and did the print time lapse. Then once it was finished I tried not to move anything, laid my black mousepad over the build plate of my printer and tried to put the empty drawer exactly where the part had just printed and filmed it for a minute. It didn't exactly go to plan by I kinda managed to make it work in the edit.
THIS IS FANTASTIC!! as a design student in high school in my 2nd year I've been thinking of buying a 3D printer as I've worked with them and fusion 360, perhaps this was the boost I needed??
Wow, you even did the SYJ (Scott Yu-Jan) mouth made sound effects, just with less audio effects on his/your voice recordings - which makrs your video a heartfelt dedication to SYJ videos, very kind of you. Your timelapes and other ideas were very creative and well done. Thanks!
Thanks man! I've been really enjoying your videos. Such great production. I might have to hit you up for advice on the g-code for the remote camera switch
It's great to see these chain reactions of positive influence! I'm sure you'll make other people want to get into 3d printing and learn by doing it themselves. You've got a new subscriber!
@@AttemptedMaker I had the same reaction when I discovered that. Even though my gf said I was just messy and the fairy was her tidying behind me. Obviously the fairy is real 😁
