I use 2k auto clear mostly. Not sure if there's anything at bunnings. But heaps of other places.. If your just starting out and only doing 1 at a time, you could just use clear araldite from bunnings
Thanks mate, Im probably not the best person to ask. but just start out with your phone.. all I ever used was my Samsung. Record clips of every step of the process. Shorts seem to be the way to go now days, but theres still a want for longer vids aswell. Have fun with it and experiment
This was before when I was still a noob and was using pine. But pine is not a good wood to use.. I primarily use jelutong, camphor or western red cedar now which are much better suited
A bit of a tip on getting the chamfers rounded after pencil marking the lure cut out block , instead of using a craft knife I put my lures in a vice and use a farriers rasp smooth side down and it’s quicker to get the bulk off and really no risk to cutting your self , just a thought , each to their own on how they do it , just thought I would share another way. 👍
This was a long time ago and come along way since. Id still prefer a knife over a rasp, but am much more proficient at it now days. But thanks anyway mate 👍
@@pitbullcustomlures1917 …..Great stuff mate , yes we all got our own preferred methods and definitely things change over time in what we do , one thing for sure no one can say it’s not hand made literally it’s satisfying crafting your own lures and catching fish. 👍
Thanks mate, I used to get those from an aussie group thats closed down since. But you can get some blanks from Kingston Lures online, which is aussie too
Watching again! 7:47 a bit of blood, sweat, & tears going into a labor of love. 12:23 thumb is all better. LOL But glad you had footage of finishing the lure! This is my favorite lure of yours! Still hoping to see the seahorse.
My favourite thing about this town is how much we truly come together when crisis like such come to. Moved from Melbourne half a lifetime ago, but truly proud to call Shepparton my home. Thank you for taking the time out to document this.
Wow mate these are just incredible! The work you put into all your lures is true dedication, Every lure you make is another I wish I had in my collection haha Glad I finally had a bit of time to sit down and watch this one 👍🏼 Keep up the awesome work Les Can't wait to see the next build
