I have a Hyper 7 with brushless conversion, these 2 ST's are the same just wider Truggy platform. Awesome bashers. I had a savage X many years ago, but moved into the 5th scale scene
Definitely a comment worth adding as your correct. You wasn't to know the old servo was THAT old 🤣 and well, just unlucky/lucky that the brand new servo failed when it did. Thanks for the sub 😁😁
I used to live in South London, Surrey and West Sussex. Years ago we started a group called the Surrey Bashers, and would regularly meet up on the Purley Way in Croydon
Yes, wind noise was pretty bad making it difficult to hear, but think you got the jist of it through the footage. The aluminium engine mount bolt had stripped causing it to move. Had the spares at home and sorted it straight away... Runs like a champion. Meeting up with a few locals on Saturday for a bash so more videos coming very soon
Matt! Matt here, I've been offered for 150 a HPI Baja 5b. Said chassis is smashed from hitting a tire and doesn't turn. A couple upgrades apparently, nothing huge. 30.5cc. Any tips on this? Should I just move on? He said it runs fine just doesn't turn and chassis is bent. He's not the most knowledgeable character...
Best thing would be to have a look at it in person if possible, 150 I'd say Is a steal if it's just the Chassis. But check everything as best you can, hinge pins, bulkhead, top plate, servo saver, and radio tray. The engine alone for a standard 30.5 if it's good is £150 all day long
Thank you man, I took it to a meet this weekend called Bashfest but sadly the range on the radio gear was very poor and I couldn't use it safely on track
It was rich on most of the video but at the end when you leaned it it was definitely to lean they need minor adjustments like 1/8 at the time . But never the less it runs 👊
Your bang on there mate, it ran lean when it blew the exhaust off as there was no back pressure for the fuel tank. I've since re fitted the flywheel with thread lock on the nut this time and left it 24hrs to harden. Gave it a run the following day when some new wheels and tyres turned up and gave it a tweak. Running and stopping like a champ now. Hoping to get a running video update done before #bashfest this weekend
Only thing I've recently changed is the Rx. Previously had Etronix radio gear in it. I didn't like the TX as the steering wheel on it had too much slop which made driving in a straight line impossible. I was using the Flysky GT3b on the Baja, so bought a new RX and paired it to the GT3 I haven't adjusted the ESC tho. I've been reading that you need to re set neutral throttle and brake sometimes with a nes RX being installed, by pressing the program button on the power switch. So gonna give that a try this week
@@Matt.hurst1980 might be your wires from esc to motor. I saw you had some connector blocks from the esc to motor - I would of you could run new cable from esc to motor if they can be un solder
@@chrisknights4604 yes agreed, it was like that when I got it. Still on a big learning curve with all the leccy stuff. Did consider opening up the ESC to see if that was possible, but haven't done so as yet
