I've been trying to find out how to have just fresh air coming in the vents from outside with no air conditioning on, like most other cars but I can't seem to find out how to on this vehicle. Is it possible? I was hoping your video touched on that. Thanks!
Can you keep it in park with the heater or ac going and sleep in it for 8 hours without the motor coming on, using only EV mode, and do the AC outlet and 12v cigarette lighter outlets stay active?
@@dan_stuart The selling point of the rover was it was a PHEV with the largest battery of any PHEV, a 38kwh battery, but for some reason they disabled all of the features that made it useful. Imagine being able to camp and use 38kwh of electricity for climate control, cooking, and computers before the engine has to come on to recharge the batteries! An EV is not practical for remote camping because you need the battery to enter/leave your spot and cannot use your electricity at the spot, unless it was a super super big battery.
@@100toeface you’re talking about a 2700kg luxury SUV that drives like you’re on a cloud while giving you in excess of 1000km per gas tank. They weren’t going after the camping folk with the invention of this vehicle. In any event, I see your point!
hi, could you tell me what the 2 parallel lines are near the cup holders and usb and also, is this the hse luxury as i have the early 2019 model (not the refreshed one) and it doesn’t have the seat memory. Also, how can you engage the adaptive cruise control system, step by step. Thank for the vid by the way, i learnt a few cool things about the car and this made me realise that my decision on a mistake to get the old one was not that bad. Personally, I think the infortainment system sucks like on the maps you can’t pinch out to soon out with 2 fingers and it’s laggy as hell! Oh yeah, and is there any auto parking as my previous mercedes c class had it and i loved it
@@khalilchan2485 park assist is a stand alone option and not a lot of Disco Sports are equipped with it. Seat memory only on HSE and above models (Canada) and the two parallel lines might be the lane keep assist.
@@dan_stuarthi, thank you for clarifying, that genuinely helped, i would just to know a few more things like the navigation system on the in control touch system doesn’t suck but every time the women speaks like i hear my music fade out and there is a few second delay before she actually talks almost like a voice recording but where the first hits arent cut out and this leaves me in the motorway (i’m in the uk) without taking the exit becuase she speaks after i’ve gone past the exit. Would I be able to change in the settings a delay so she plays her audio like 5 seconds before the “actual event” is happening. Also, only yesterday, the 12v socket in the rear seats fell out. Nothing was inside of it and it had never been used but the whole panel came off like exposing all the wires and do you know if the land rover guys in the uk can fix this. While i’m at the land rover dealership, i would also try and get my navi system working so do you know if the update the maps or can change the incontrol touch system to incontrol touch pro system as i do know you could’ve got the disco sport in that configuration in the Uk. @@dan_stuartlike there are two parallel short lines near the cup holders and i front of the 5v usb socket around the 18:00 mark or before there. It is just something you could lose and so card in or a pill and it just like to know what it is for thx
@@yenaibi yes but you can program the diamond button on the steering wheel to turn it off. But every new journey on the car, it will be on unfortunately

@@yenaibi I go through it on this video. The left side of the steering wheel has a diamond button which is called the favorite button. It can be programmed to activate or deactivate a list of features.
What mode should I have it set to always? Should I keep it on access by default even though it'll switch to normal after 20km/h or keep it on normal by default?
My husband just bought a 2020 model and we were trying to figure out the how to work the blind spot monitor feature, but under "collision avoidance " we noticed that we don't have anything after AEB. Is that normal for this year's model?
Hi Dan. Could you tell me how to disable the auto fold mirrows on my 2015 2.2 model please. I know it has this feature as when i purchased it they never turned in when i locked it. I know the manual states its a dealer enable function only and they would have to do it. I've tried all kinds. Since i pulled them in via a double button press in a car park they have continued to move in after its locked.
hello from Turkey. I have a 2016 discovery sport 2.0 td4 180 luxury vehicle. In the summer months, when I open the doors in the morning, I hear the fan noise inside. is this normal? The fan sound comes from the front panel where the radio and air conditioner are located. My second question is that sometimes there is a mechanical sound when shifting gears. Should I be worried? There is rarely a tremor. Also very interesting, the engine of this car warms up after 15 minutes.
Not sure about the fan noise. With shifting gears there should be a slight noise, but it should not be too loud. I suspect your best to get a Land Rover technician to test drive the vehicle with you so you can show them the issues.
