It's dumb because i don't even want to use my headphones for game audio, just party chat audio. They even give you the option in the software to split them
I rem loving PS3 and being excited to pick up PS4 and continue my gaming adventure with it. A key feature to my enjoyment was the online play. However, I was surprised when I booted up the PS4 and learned I'd now have to pay to play on line. Long story short, my PS4 has been gathering dust for a decade and I never even bothered buying a PS5 after that. In the unlikely chance someone high up from Sony reads this, I've never paid for online play .... and I never will.
idk but the ps3 is the best machine for mgs games because every mainline game is available and if you jail break it you will have the ability to play like... all of them
I got fed up of ps5 and stopped paying for ps plus. went back to ps3 now for free online. I'm a busy man and not always get the chance but I get some random spare time to go on it and had more fun off ps3. I'm cutting back on expenses.
Moded my PS3 this year after 11 years of honorable service. Now I get a kick out of it by also playing PS1 and PS2 games. I just love the PS3 and I can't let it go.
My from JP imported PS3 (CECHA00, in Europe we never had 100% backward compatibility), which meanwhile is a Frankstein with replaced 40nm RSX chip, is the best of "three worlds" I can find. Connected to my Retro TV (40" LCD) it delivers everything I want from the PS1 to PS3 era. I also have PS1 and PS2 permanently hooked up to a Sony CRT, but rarely start one of them. The PS3 does everything really well and thanks to the brilliant PS3 scene you can stay up to the latest firmware and still keep your media on the shelf while playing the backups from hard drive. Win Win in every scenario.
I own a PS3 and PS4 and I still play on the older console often. The reason for its longevity is basically the fact that it had lots of games including the exclusive titles. People say that PS5 has very little games. Well compared to the PS3 standards even PS4 has not that many exclusive titles. The second and main reason is that these games did not age that bad at all, even when it comes to graphics. Even if some of these games look ugly now, they still are not ugly enough to make the game unplayable like PS2 or PS1 era ones due to very low resolution back then. The most important are the game mechanics thou. And they have not changed drastically one bit from 2013. You can even say that almost every game mechanic that is in usage now had its roots in the 7th generation of consoles. There hasnt been such a substiantial quality leap like for example in case of PS2 to PS3 transition. Therefore the PS3 is still a very potent gaming machine.
There are more people playing the PlayStation 3!! Not every PlayStation 3 player is going to play online!!! There are millions more playing PlayStation 3 offline!!
I love my PS3. That old beast has been running strong since we got it and I'm sure she's still got many years to go! Ol' Reliable never ceases to bring me joy and entertainment (and occasionally anger). Best console I've ever had. (and still have it)
Simple. It has : Metal Gear Solid 4. The Demoman with 6 pipes in his grenade launcher. Fallout New Vegas. and probably other titles but I don't want to look it up.
SImple. You can just jail break it and enjoy ps1,ps2,psp and of course all ps3 games. Not to mention ps3 controllers are very cool and you can use them for other games. I played pokemon sword with it from switch.
I hooked back up my ps3 after many years because I realized I couldn't play oblivion or fallout 3 natively on ps5, and I had already given my ps4 to my bro. It's nice to play the old games again. I know you can stream oblivion on ps5, but playing it natively on ps3 looks and plays better. Too blurry and too much latency on ps5.
