Duuuuuuude! "That's bone" - American Psycho quote lol. That's all I could think of every time you said bone. I have a love hate thing with social media. I tend to post rarely, only when I'm really motivated to share what I've made, and I kinda use it as a diary/ place to vent/ and it's sort of cathartic sometimes. But I do tend to gwt bogged down by comparison and doom scrolling. So I'm trying to spend less time doing that myself. But I like being able to check out some artists recent work from time to time. I honestly done go camping as often as I'd like to. Usually go like once maybe twice a year. But we go to a state park around us, has a beach and hiking trails, and cool wooded camping spots. Going with Sarah and we just chill and take in nature. It's relaxing. Sometimes with a group of friends and we have some drinks and it's a lot of fun too lol. I love drawing skulls and bones man, animal skulls especially. They're shapes are so crazy looking, and usually have horns ans stuff. I love it. Your skulls look like some ancient creatures, really cool! 👍 "Put away childish things" man that line has some melancholic vibes doesn't it? I try to hold onto those things that make me feel good regardless. I definitely get it though man, there's many things I've put down over the years because I can't put any of my time into it anymore. And that's part of life right, feels like it's more of a changing of priorities, which is usually a good thing. Benevolent is a great word. I feel you're pretty benevolent dude, super kind and thoughtful ✌️ It's always a great goal to have to achieve for bettering yourself though man. Zak my dearest! i've never actually watched american psycho im ashamed to say but ive seen many many clips. yeah i totally agree with the love hate thing, i just dont like getting sucked into scrolls too much or it taking away time to do other things. i do still check out art and stuff on it on my pc just not the phone co zits too easy to get sucked off by instagram haha. camping is nice but, i like that where we usually go theres no signal, it sort of forces you to escape your phone and enjoy the real world. a bit of nature thats just left to do its thing and sheep that wont ever shutup even in the night is kinda nice. sometimes juts a nature walk is lovely. yeah man skulls are fun and can literally be any style, my skulls are very cartoony whereas yours are sort of ritualistic and cultist which is mad sexy cool! yeah to put away childish things is a weird one, it could mean toys or it could mean a way of thinking and acting. its down to the individual i guess. sometimes i put down certain things but pick up others. haha benevolent isnt how i would decribe myself but thanks buddy :) anyway buddy thanks for the comment and support as always, hope you and farmer sarah are doing great :)

Hey man! yeah i quite enjoyed all of this, the gaming of course but the editting was quite satisfying too. haha yeah louie has some great one liners and its kinda fun to see him learn and experiencing the game for the first ish time. hes actually played quite a bit but never past the first season. thsat arcade game is really hard, if the complete i think you get an achievement which i have never got and probably never will. thanks for the feedback, yeah i did go a bit crazy with the timelapses so next time i'll try to get some of the real time stuff in there more :)

It's the only way I can still work and earn money without being so underneath someone's thumb. But I know it's very difficult, it's not as easy when you've got family to support. And honestly I think you're doing what you want when it comes to pursuing art and video making, and it seems to be growing organically! I hope you do snag that other position at your job though, but if it doesn't work out, there's always other options man! I believe in you 👍 I'd love to see you draw other pokemon in your style dude! Heyy dude! I love that you and Louie draw together in that short moment of time during the morning. Makes me want to set aside even 20 minutes to draw myself. I feel like I haven't been making the time to do the things I want to during my day. I'm glad you're feeling good lately man! Getting out for runs and walks is super cool, I've been trying to get back into exercising more but failing to start or keep it consistent. I know you were concerned about your son's health before when it was an unknown thing, hopefully now that it's more certain it's going to be much easier to move forward and direct your attention. If that makes sense. Autism is pretty common, my Uncle has autism. And he lives his life, has a day job, enjoys sports. He's just a goofy dude who does things differently than others. I love these types of characters, sort of mysterious, but so detailed that everything is specific to their story. And I really dig your colouring dude. I always feel so much pressure to stay in the lines and colour specific areas with shading values. But I've really wanted to be more loose, and the way you colour is inspiring man. Lmao, I love how BG3 handles racism. My friend was a githyanki and Shadowheart was throwing slurs around. We were both like "YO WTF?" lol so funny. Hope you enjoy your holiday man! Camping sounds nice 👌 I've gotten back into Destiny 2. And honestly it's really emotional and nostalgic, so I've really been enjoying it. But playing WAY less than I used to lol. Also I've been getting into Baulders Gate 3 as well, playing with another friend coop, which is real fun. But haven't really been playing too much games recently other than that! I did actually draw a bit today! Just some sketching, for a possible narrative project I want to make. Not sure if it'll be more of a comic or an artbook with some words lol. But trying to start it because I've been thinking and planning for it for a couple years now. ✌️

@@boscorner I absolutely agree! I have such fond memories of past experiences when I was young, and to me they seemed like they were such a long period of life, when in reality it was a short period. But those impacts are still felt today in how I carry myself and how I feel about those types of situations now. 👍
hey Zak buddy sorry about the slow reply. yeah i love to draw with louie but sometimes hes not interested even though he is getting better and better and drawing :) you should definitely spend some time each day just doodling or drawing this or that. i draw almost everyday, not often at the weekends though. yeah the exercise is doing me good, i definitely need to up it a bit though as im only doing a little bit but its a start. oh thats cool that your uncle has autism and hes all good, i think a lot of people have a little something going on but when we were young people just didnt tend to get any sort of label. im feeling great about it though, ellis just does what he wants to do but he is honestly so so happy, unless hes hungry haha. haha i just smashed a double cheese burger! ive done a few other drawings similar to this and just recorded another one so a video coming soon :) BG3 is a big learning curve but im enjoying it, im trying to play how i want to instead of doing what other people have done in videos etc. i never played destiny but i brother liked it a lot and played the hell out of it! im getting the urge to play some stardew recently so i might dip my toes into a new farm :) maybe you and sarah would like stardew valley if you havent played before. great to hear from you as always buddy and i hope you guys are doing great :)

It's natural to feel overwhelmed sometimes with such changes but as long everyone works as a team everything will be okay! He might have different interests and rhythms but as long as he keeps doing what he likes and goes to bed happy, that's all it matters in the end of the day. And let's not forget that everyone in the system also has their own needs and life, so take care of yourself too c: And i fully support the idea of coming up with some merch, go for it! As someone with autism, the biggest tip i can give is to be patient and listen to your son. Some things may take longer for him or don't come at all and that is okay as long as he's happy. You sound like a great dad, keep up the good work👍

I've recent gotten back into Destiny 2. It's crossplay and free to play (technically). If thats a game youd ever want to play together! I used to be addicted to that game. Played All. The. Time. But some friends of mine are getting back into it so now I wanna play with them and start the new dlc that's coming out. I think a new change of pace in your job is necessary! Honestly, we're pen pal friends man 🖤 And I appreciate ya! I've vended at a con before, and it really is a hard mix of cheap knockoff shit and genuine artists. But i had a great time hoenstly! It was so cool to meet people and connect about original art while being surrounded by fan art. Not that I'm against fan art! I love it. But it felt special when people really liked the original stuff 🙌 Really enjoyed this video man, I've been having some wicked dental pain recently, some major issues. But I'm getting it looked at. I'm glad i could entertain for an hour this time :) hopefully the pottery wheel was spinning with ferocity! thanks buddy i actually super like drawing the warhammer stuff... im thinking of streaming some drawing straight to youtube maybe or sticking to twitch, not sure yet. i dont paint or play warhammer anymore as its quite an expensive hobby plus i cant dedicate the time to it that id need to to make some sexy models! i only painted the models when i was younger. but, for now i'll just stick to drawingg stuff :) i've always loved the idea of a sketchbook hangout sort of thing, all levels welcome or just viewing is cool too. i really need to sort out the discord too. i'm gonna check out some of those youtubers right now! i'm actually having a little break from games, just took my second monitor off, plus its an old crappy monitor. less distraction too hopefully for some more focussed drawing... thats the idea anyway. oh i didnt know you suffered with anxiety, thats a shame, just keep trying to work on it :) my girlfriend Eleanor works in mental health so she deals with all that sort of stuff quite often. what a coincidence, just finished some warhamer fanart. the Horus Heresy audiobooks are a great listen, especially the first three if you wanna get into more of the narrative and the universe. Dark angels are what i own, but i rly like nurgle and his stinky crew been a couple months since i watched ur vids, good to see it's still going strong, what got you interested again in warhammer again recently? i feel ya on the harder to make friends when you get older thing, my friend group hasnt evolved much in the past years. i think the prompt idea is good, give people a week to do a whole sketch page based around it. would give me a good excuse to get back into traditional art. ohh yeah i rly like Karl Kopinski's stuff, also Adrian Smith does some AMAZING warhammer art anyways that's my random babble and thoughts, thanks for the videos man, don't get too hung up on growing followers and such, especially instagram. if you enjoy making art then people will enjoy looking at it.

Welcome back Laurence! Good to see your video popup in my recommended! I feel you on being on the phone too much, I find myself with my phone out at least 50% or more of every day. And it's hard to just put it away and not stress over it. Trying to use it only when I need to, or have time set aside to scroll once or twice a day. Lol Lol I like how you threw in that peanutbutter on toast reference👌 (litteraly eating that now) I think everyone needs a break from things. Even if it's soemthing you love doing. I honestly haven't finished a drawing in what feels like a month or so now. I go through phases of binging art and making every day, then time where I don't make anything. Its like recharging the creative batteries. I also have been working with pottery a lot recently, so maybe that's taken my time instead of drawing lately honestly. Dude! I just started playing this indie game called Tunic. You play as a little fox dude and It's like a isometric zelda-esq adventuring game with bosses and multiple levels ans secrets and puzzles. It's mad difficult honestly lol. The games doesnt explain how to play, you have to find the instruction manual in pages scattered around the map of the game! But it's a super cute art style and has lots of interesting deeper meanings. I've been having lots of fun with it. Shout out to me!? Lol thanks man! Shout out to YOU dude!🤙 I think community stuff would be awesome man. I'd love a drawing/ sketchbook club. Like just to connect with other artists and share and see art. Maybe like a discord or something, like a group chat where the group can share art. And you're idea of having a theme would be cool too! Then everyone could work on a similar thing and we could see how different everyone interprets the theme in their style. I think it could be a lot of fun and very cool. Also if you did some live drawing on stream, that would be a great way to have people draw along with you in real time. (And maybe you could have people send what they drew to that same discord so you could look through everyone's drawings they made while you drew?) I definitely think it's good to take things seriously sometimes and to not be serious other times. There's a balance ya know? Some of my friends and I have some very serious topics we talk about or make art about, but on the other hand there so many times where we're so stupid and silly and we make silly art from that as well! I dunno if we call it a "fry up" here, but the food sounds tasty lol. Oh dude, I love Jim Carrey. I've watched a few of his interviews and lots of his videos talking about himself and his art and his previous self. I think he just stopped putting the public mask on. He's stopped faking how he feels, in my opinion. Some of his words were pretty inspiring to me. Made me think about how I shouldn't worry about how I'm perceived and I should change myself to conform to what is expected of me. I just gotta do what I'm going to do because I want to do it for me. Personally, I don't watch TV. RU-vid became my TV. And honestly I feel it's more sincere and much more personal and artistically driven. I value the videos from the people I follow when they come out, and it's not everyday either. People upload differently so it's always a gamble when I watch. But I genuinely appreciate RU-vid for allowing me to find these artists and people who share their videos. It's really inspired me throughout life. I love this iPad drawing format man! So sick to see you draw digitally "live" in real-time. Hey man, it's great to see you back! Glad you're back into drawing! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and art as always dude!
HEY ZAK!!!! sorry about the delayed reply, life and all that... plus my brain gets distracted by everything!! I hope you're doing great and mrs famer is too! as always thanks for the massive comment, this is like having a pen pal which ive always liked the idea of :) i was thinking more about phones today, its like theyve been used as a tool to get us addicted to everything we view so its harder and harder to escape the phone addiction in a way. sounds like youve had a good break from drawing too, must be something in the water haha. haha i thought maybe you'd be eating some delicious breakfast so i thought i'd chance it. i've heard of tunic but ive never played it, im just hooked on breakpoint but i think im going to force myself to have break from that now as its getting in the way of drawing and me making these videos which i really want to do more of. thanks for the feedback on the community stuff that is actually super helpful! i'm always in two minds about discord but im sure i'll do it eventually. i've been trying to draw some warhammer inspired stuff recently, just doodles but i want to make a more finished piece, i feel like my art never usually gets much further than a sketch phase. im all about the fry ups at work coz theyre so cheap haha but ive been doing some exercise too so hopefully i wont pack on the pounds. i love how you connect with everything im saying buddy! the jim carrey stuff is cool and kinda ironic as he played the mask and then eventually took his own mask off. yeah i get you on the youtube becoming your TV, thats pretty much all i watch too. let me know some stuff that youve been watching :) thanks as always Zak, you're a real true friend :)
i love your art style, very reminiscent of zap comics/drawn and quarterly stuff from the early 2010s. would totally buy a colouring book of your work. also at 10:56 youre probably thinking of Kim JungGi
Hey friend 🐸 thanks!! Yeah maybe a little before 2010 as I was around 18 then but it's all a very similar style. I grew up watching a lot of Digimon, Pokémon, and cartoon network stuff so a lot of influence from those shows.
Have you ever done isometric art? EDIT: I got to the part in the video where you said you haven't gotten into isometric art. But do you have any interest in trying it?
I really like this doodle style. It's so simple but so much fun to look at. I can't draw characters out of my mind. I can only do abstract without a reference. lol
I love your pixel art, please make videos of your learning process, I wanted to learn, but I gave up, now that I see your work, it made me want to try again.
