Laurence!✌️ You're so prolific man, it's awesome seeing how much you draw and how fast you fill your sketchbooks. Not that it's a race, but it's so cool to see. Really dig the few drawing you have of your Shellbacks in a landscape with a staff, looking like they're on an adventure! So cool to see them in an environment, it really grows the world around those characters. Also your weapon designs are so unique dude, love them. Your pencil sketches are awesome too, so sick to see your drawings more loose or rough! Really dig those few pencil pages. Same with your architectural drawings! Your buildings are so stylized, I really enjoy those. And man, I don't see anything wrong with drawing similar things or redrawing things you've drawn. That's what makes your style and your artwork yours. I tend to draw figures all the time, you could say I only draw figures lol. But I changes things here and there. And so do you! If you were hung up about what you draw, I'd say don't be! You draw a huge variety of things, and it's always unique ✌️ I'm right there with ya on feeling like a zombie lol. I've been crazy exhausted recently. Took a nap midday yesterday, and I never nap. Crazy, but I think it helped. Hope you've gotten some rest to help you feel more alive and less zombie like👍
ZAAAKKKKKKK!!!! So sorry buddy I kept forgetting to reply. Hope you're doing good. I love your pottery stuff. Yeah I try my best to get through sketchbooks, I see a lot of people online that seem to struggle to get through them but I don't seem to have that problem. I really should try to do more environmental stuff like my shellback in the wild a bit more. I actually really enjoy the pencil stuff, it's a little more freeing with the roughness. I ended up having a couple of naps this week and some early nights, been feeling mega tired. Been eating a lot of bad food too which doesn't help. Definitely need to sort myself out in that regard. i love your art style, very reminiscent of zap comics/drawn and quarterly stuff from the early 2010s. would totally buy a colouring book of your work. also at 10:56 youre probably thinking of Kim JungGi
Hey friend 🐸 thanks!! Yeah maybe a little before 2010 as I was around 18 then but it's all a very similar style. I grew up watching a lot of Digimon, Pokémon, and cartoon network stuff so a lot of influence from those shows.
so good! your drawings remind me of a couple of other artists sometimes as well. davilorium and alba BG, i think are who come to mind when i see some of your sketches! you have such a great style! i love your grumpy pokemon/digimon kinda little guys haha. :-)
