I want to retro fit an alternator that has an rlo onto and older car can i just not run that rlo wire terminal and will it over charge the battery or what not ?
Looks good, the only issue i have with products in general is the branding on products. Do it in a way that doesn't spoil the look and it's not in your face (underneath) as customers paid for the product and you don't pay them to advertise.
Can anyone recommend the best wheel offset for running 35s on a Y62 Patrol without flares? I’m seeing 8.5” and 9.5” width options on various wheel/tire sites and it's getting confusing. Can someone just clarify what I should be looking for?
Any offset wider than standard +40 will need flares for legality, 295s on standard offset wheels will have the sidewall flush with the guards. Wider rims will allow you to fit tyres wider than 295 which means you will also need flares to remain legal
So they cant be used as tow vehicle, or they can ? My friend has bought one and plans on towing his boat. Really hope he's not been tricked by the sales team. I will give him the heads up
In-flight refuelling gives so many options, especially when towing. On a recent trip I was able to clear an area of very high priced fuel and get it nearly 30c/L cheaper later in the day back in Melbourne. With all the bits attached to the windscreen - can't say I am a fan. When in the sun they get to be a nuisance when trying to get the sunscreen up. With maps, the best idea I have had was to put a 14" tablet onto a post sitting over the centre console. Using Waze, Google maps, OzExplorer or Newtracs etc it gives a large view that can be quickly referred to, or worked on by the passenger easily. Front E-locker would be nice but I can fill the tank nearly 4 times for that...
Hey Steve. I installed a Naviplus system into my infotainment system. Solved the problem of where to put the Safety Dave Screen plus I also now have Apple Car Play so can use things like Waze etc. Love it. Probably one of the worst things I did was fit Airbag man airbags. Have now had them repaired 8 times. Have cost me twice the amount as I originally paid for them. Do the Dash ones really work as you say as I don’t want to go through the drama again.
I've owned this grill for 3 years. I've used it off and on for a total of 5 or 6 weeks, and only on camping trips. Since it was so horrendous to clean it's been primarily used to cook hot dogs and vegetables, and I've used charcoal to cook meats that left a lot of drippings. It looks to be in near new condition but it has quit working due to a faulty regulator. Weber does not want to cover this item past a 2 year warranty even though there is warranty remaining on other parts of the grill, and that this is an item that is known to be a problem with them. I purchased 4 Weber grills over a 2 year period and all of them have had issues. Three of the grills had issues right out of the box. I just completed a second warranty claim on my Weber Genesis II because the warming rack has rotted out, and I will be making a second claim on my Weber Performer because the metal table is covered in rust after only 1.5 years. A friend of mine has purchased 2 Napoleon grills last year and zero issues. I recommend a different manufacturer.
A spotter of some sort? You need to agree on the method of communication, be it phone, two way radio, or hand signals. Spotter needs to advise where the back of the van is, and where the other side of the car is, so you don't ruin the garden, or take out the letter box that you can't see. And also when you might be approaching a jack knife situation.
serious question, rather than going for actual air suspension can you cut the springs (to lower it for city driving) and airbag man bags when you want to lift it for off-road ?
LOL Hows the wheel articulation on that 50 million dollar landcruiser when it gets stuck towards the end.....Honestly dont know why people buy those to take offroad
