Thanks Gwyn. This is the Allak 3 with the Hilleberg Tarp 10. It’s brilliant for rainy days and very occasionally keeping shaded from the sun. The trekking poles are Black Diamond.
In my day we took as little stuff as possible lived on nuts dried fruit to eat on the go the purpose was to get in the miles night and day walking over the mountian tops in moon light , Now camping is about having a party
There are many different types of camping. Some camp right beside their vehicles, some walk into the high mountains and pitch on the summit. In this case it was the first time using a brand new tent so I didn’t need to go far.
A lovely young fox…discovering the world. My experience is that just like dogs or cats, foxes have very distinct personalities. We have a very cheeky vixen in our garden and sometimes she requires a bit of convincing that she just cannot do things like come in an open door on the terrace…a bucket full of water is just the Trick….harmless but effective☺️ and we all live peacefully in the same open space outside.
She was gorgeous. There’s no reason to be afraid Ella, they’re very small and we don’t have rabies here in the United Kingdom. Our cat wasn’t afraid at all. Hope you’re doing well.
Hi Doug. I thought you had disappeared off youtube. Lovely looking fox, they are **** scared of cats. lol. I've been getting foxes come into my garden for years. There're not the aggressive creatures some people make them out to be. Got a few fox vids on my channel mate.
Hi Shaun, no, I haven’t disappeared entirely, I just am extremely busy with my new job. I have to say, she was extremely friendly and she wasn’t shy. Hope you’re doing well mate.
@@shaunwild8797No, unfortunately the dogs are long gone. I’d love to get another but it wouldn’t be fair. It’s something that’s always the back of my mind but the time isn’t right Shaun. Glad to hear you’re doing well.
Beautiful garden mate and lucky sighting of the fox. We get them alot around my neck of the woods. I'd reckon it'll be back if you feed it. Hope all is well 🙏
Thanks Lee, the garden is a lot of work but it’s worth it. I won’t feed her just in case she brings her siblings round and Tony (cat) can’t cope with it. They weren’t afraid or aggressive to each other though. Hope you and the family are well brother.
we ve got some snow here to, its been cold lately, in fact colder than normal , minus 8 C. on Thursday , its time for a wild camp again and some steak and red wine👍❄😎 nice video mate👍atb Hans P
Too bad your comment on RyanMcBeths youtube channel got deleted. You had no time to explain why your "irish christian friends" had so much problems with Mohammed. Underage marriage was allowed by the christian church for centuries. The catholic church in europe married infanfts to old man. The christian bible even honored a father who slept with his daughters after his wife was killed by gawd. Moses ordered his soldiers to abduct little girls who haven't been with an man, yet. You ever talked with your christian friends about this hypocrisy? Or are you just happy they don't follow christian rules as they should as "christians"? For if a wife will not cover her head, then she should cut her hair short. But since it is disgraceful for a wife to cut off her hair or shave her head, let her cover her head. - 1 Corinthians 11:6 Thehooowly Bible Seems Islam and Christians share the same "values".
It was a great walk, unfortunately I didn't have anyone to do it with when I was in the UK, it was just relaxing and exploring the architecture and culture of the city, which is always a shame!
The soulo uses 3 poles, the AKto 1, but I wonder, which can handle higher winds, a double pole'ed Akto or a standard 3 pole'ed Soulo? Is the Soulo not budging deceptive, could a pole crack without warning as doesnt bend with the wind like an akto, thus taking the full force, potentially causing catastophioc failure?
I haven’t used my Soulo in anything more than around 100kph winds but it literally didn’t budge, not 1mm. The poles will flex, naturally, but only a little. Of course this stability comes with a weight penalty. I’ve never had a Hilleberg pole crack, thankfully.
@@dougieranger Recently got a Soulo BL, A lovely tent indeed. The design is perfection as is the Akto; the Soulo being alot more spacious inside, suffering more from condensation but warmer and gives more confidence. Double poling the side pole should make it totally bombproof.
@@DemiGod..Spot on. I’ve always left the vent open, just a little and it stops any condensation. I like my Enan but it’s not a patch on the amazing Soulo.
My 3 season tent is an anjan 2, the 4 season an akto. Had a 3 season tent flattened when I started hillwalking, in the carngorms during an Autumn storm, the Wild Country Mistrel, bought hillebergs ever since. Wouldn't mind having had an Enan or anjan back then instead of the wildcountry, they would have nodoubt, survived.
I have the Keron 3 and added the Soulo BL for four seasons now. Depending on who goes with me I’ll take the Allak 3 or the Enan. I did buy a Durston X-Mid 2P Pro for UL hikes but I haven’t really had a chance to use it much. I had an MSR Hubba Hubba NX destroyed at Glen Feshie in 2013, the wind snapped the poles and the ragged edges burst through the fly sheet. After that it was only ever Hilleberg tents for me until the Durston this summer.
Nice drone Shots😍Very beautiful place, beautiful green nature, thank you, my dear friend, for sharing a cool interesting video. I enjoyed this video. Happy work. Success and always healthy for you. Amen. I support you forever💯✅🤝💝 Waiting for the next video🤝🤝🙏🏿💝
You choose an extreme place to camp. The sensation must be extraordinary with very strong winds and the sound of waves crashing against the rocks. I hope you always healthy
