Strathkelvin Railway Trail

A short, 8 mile, walk around the Strathkelvin Railway Walk. This trail used to be a railway, as the name suggests, but unfortunately the tracks were ripped up in the 1960’s as part of Dr Beeching’s idiotic, shortsighted plan.
Still, this has provided loads of hikes around the UK that otherwise wouldn’t exist so some good has come of it.
The humidity was the worst I’ve ever known in the UK, it was unbelievable.

When you said time for a drink I thought about something else, but those tablets seem like a good idea, must check out those. Really GREEN over there and nice temperatures. Quite similar to Western Norway. Those crows seem not very friendly to the lambs Dougie!

It is very lush here at the moment Chris and I can’t actually remember it being so humid here ever. I can see the summer changing to autumn but it’s still very warm. I met two charming ladies yesterday, in their eighties they said and they had a couple of craft ales with them for their half way point, fair play! I only had water. The crows are the farmers enemy mate, they hate them, with good reason. It’s horrible what they do to the new lambs. As always, thanks for watching and commenting.

I might have to have a look into the Sawyer squeeze to replace my Sawyer mini, it's served me well but the flow rate on the mini is a bit of a let down. Great video Dougie. Atb Lee

Hi Lee, the flow rate on the Mini was driving me mad. The Squeeze, as you’ll have seen mate, is great. It took me a total of six minutes to set up the tripod, fill the Cnoc and filter the 750ml of water, I got mine for £35 and it is seriously worth every penny. Thanks for the kind words mate.

Aye, it’s a nice wee part of the country Robert. It’s rural and it’s handy for the city should you ever need it.
