Memoirs of WWII is a short film series dedicated to preserving the history of the Second World War and the memory of those who served. The series will bring this important part of our history to life by relaying true, personal stories through quality production and compelling narrative.
Through the personal accounts of real life World War II veterans, our goal is to honor their sacrifice, and to grant younger generations an understanding of what it was like to live through the war and what lessons can be learned from it.
Good stuff Josh! Thanks for all you do. Would love to hear from some who fought on the otherside and their experiences with it all. Love from New Zealand
It's great your still going there's not too many of these guys left. I met a ww2 Veteran that served at Tarawa, but he died before his time by falling and hitting his head.
Thank you, Charles. You are a hero. We have a long history of injustice, shadowed by mounds of racial inequality. You are part of this history, and for that I thank you. I hope you somehow get the chance to see this comment. Thank you.
Wow. Now that's a story. Incredible. I waited till the end hoping to not see the birth and death date of this fine man. I am relieved to see he is still with us. Thank you for your service, sir!
Being a World war 1 and 2 history buff is so much more than an interest or passion, its a way of understanding. You don't learn wars for violence, it teaches me how to behave and what i could be. It keeps me humble and "Woke" To the reality of what world we live in. God bless America's veterans.
I wish I could have spent some time with Ralph and heard more about his time in WWII. He seemed like one hell of a guy! Talking with Veterans was one of my favorite things about being in law enforcement. I had a list of people that I would visit during the week both on duty and on my days off who had become like family. That is one of the things I miss most about working in that profession.
Wow, its amazing to think about that he met those high ranking people on both sides, which we now can only read about or see in official Recordings! I hope he kept his Experiences somewhere written!
My relative had past away about a year ago . He served in WWII on a cruiser in the pacific . He was in his late 90’s. He told me they had to zig zag in the water to avoid being hit . God Bless the greatest generation .
I am over 60 years old . I worked in the workforce with WWII Veterans . A lot of WWII Veterans were still in the work force 44 years ago . I worked with many of them back in the late 70’s and early 80’s . A few of them were still full time workers .
I wish i would have talked to my grandpa more about his time in ww2 before he passed. I know he was a farmer in charge of growing food. I think he was in France.
In my father's memory, I plan to visit Normandy next April. He served in the US Army in England, France, Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg. Tears will fall. I love you Dad!
