I think this is good but I honestly don’t think it’s very detailed. It sounds detailed maybe for someone who doesn’t know anything, but in terms of what let’s say a real Ballet pedo would know ?!! I feel like it’s just a very sort of common knowledge video and there’s no real analysis of for example, what of people who have different bodies and larger gluteal muscles for example, how do you know if it’s hyper lordosis or simply larger gluteal muscles? Why is there no talk whatsoever about the femur bones, and how to use the femur bones as a way to analyze pelvic placement ? Because for example, this is easy to see on a child with hardly any muscle formation or additional fat but if you have a really diverse room, but this can be easily misunderstood.
Can people who don't dance do PBT? I need to work on my prociroception and I have the feeling that this could help with it. I saw that there's a local course for this in my area but I'm unsure yet.
Absolutley anyone can study & benefit from PBT. The official courses are structured to Certify teachers. However, suggest you take the free 3 day trail and explore our online program as a student. There is a designated Adult section and more updates are planned for 2024.
How tightly should it fit? I'm not a seamstress and to the best of my ability I did measure her in order to jacket that fit the dimensions that I took. She's not comfortable in it and I'm not sure if that's normal but it's very snug
Yes it must be snug and only wear for an hour at a time. to assist with posture it must fit like a glove. Little by litter she will get more comfortable, many students after a couple of months don't wish to remove the jacket when asked!! Remember to tip forward zip up and then stand upright. Absolutley worth the perseverance.
Not everyone can turnout that much with the small ball. . Especially adults. I take PBT three times at the end of the month as well as our regular class schedule three days per week and my turnout will never be great. I’m 50.
I totally agree, PBT is indeed an excellent program that should be applied in Ballet Companies, not only by professional dancers but also by professional teachers, this will help to control the inner key of each body muscle work, and also avoid severe injuries that often professional dancers unexpectedly get during their daily training.
