Thank you for the question and taking time to practice with me Sufiyan - The continuous and rhythmic nature of Cloud Hands encourages deep relaxation. The focus on smooth and fluid transitions helps release tension, reduce stress, and cultivate a calm and peaceful state of mind - I hope you find the practice useful 🙏 Lily
Thank you for taking time to practice with me -It's not necessary to stand by water to practice 😊 but there is a strong relation to the Dao, be it through symbolism or metaphor for Tai Chi - In the TaoTe Jing there is a passage referring to water that reads: Nothing in the world is softer and weaker than water. Yet, to attack the hard and strong, Nothing surpasses it. Nothing can take its place. The weak overcomes the strong. The soft overcomes the hard. Everybody in the world knows this, Still nobody makes use of it. It feels amazing to stand next to an expanse of water and to flow through the movements. Lily

Intento crear prácticas que pongan todo el cuerpo en contacto con la tierra para que, de todos modos, sientas una conexión tranquila y pacífica 🙏 David ✨ Thank you so much Elisa, I'm so glad you enjoyed practicing yoga with me - bare feet is not essential for yoga practice, just encouraged; It is supposed to enhance our connection to the earth. I try to create practices that bring all of the body into contact with the earth so hopefully you feel a calming and peaceful connection anyway 🙏 David
I’m disabled, 27 years old and use a wheelchair. I’ve become very sedentary and it’s hard to find good exercise. I just tried this while sitting on the floor and while I wasn’t able to do anything with my legs, my upper body feels fantastic after doing these stretches. I want to make it a daily routine. Thank you! From Missouri, USA ❤
Hi Emily, thank you for the lovely feedback ❤️ I'm so glad you found the Eight Brocades of benefit for stretching and exercise - Qigong is a wonderfully beneficial exercise and in particular Eight Brocades and Yi Jin Jing (muscle tendon strengthening exercise [ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5d-aBIOKg_8.htmlsi=ut3aEVSKi7ioxchP ]), and are just as beneficial for wheelchair users as for anyone. I teach Qigong chair classes and the results for the lovely practitioners has been amazing - It's so wonderful that your strong spirit has lead you to these practices 🙏 Lily
The body is always overflowing with energy once I practiced Five Animals, it's one for my all-time favourites 😊 Thank you for practicing with me Carolina 🙏 Lily
That's wonderful Audrey, I'm so glad that Eight Brocades is being taught around the world, it's such a beneficial practice 😊 Thank you for taking time to practice with me, Lily 🙏
The music is lovely, it's a specially commissioned piece from the International Health Qigong Federation written for the Ming Mu Gong (eyes brightening exercise). 😊 Lily
This is absolutely amazing. All you need to do is right here. Simple but very effective. Brings harmony and balance into your life. All is well, getting better (hao-la).
That's wonderful Maria, I'm so glad you are gaining benefit with the practice and that it's helping you with feelings of wellbeing 🙏 Thank you for taking time to practice with me, Lily
Hi Auggie, the stick is a 70 cm (27 inches) to 78 cm (30 inches) long baton - I'm 186 cm (6' 2") tall so find the 78 cm stick more comfortable to use. It may be worth asking the seller of the 3-part sticks how long each section is, as 2 sections together maybe the correct length. The stick I am using one that I made myself by trimming a broom handle as I couldn't find a seller with the correct length. I hope this is helpful and that you enjoy practicing Yi Jin Bang - it's my favourite stick practice and really helps my neck and shoulders. 😊 David
Qigong was mentioned in How to Starve Cancer by Jane McLelland. A couple days later I was in a Charity Shop and a book on Qigong was there so I bought it for £1. My wife and I were going to start together. Time passed without doing it and I had some reflexology and unprompted she told me to do Qigong The Universe has brought you and Qigong to me, thank you x
The universe sometimes goes out of its way to bring our attention to something that we need. I’m so glad that you have found these qigong practices and hope that they will serve you well and that they will bring you health and happiness in time 😊 Lily
@@YogaLilyStudio thank you. I just did my practise in the garden being ‘buzzed’ by Swallows who have just returned to UK from Africa! I am currently completing a Course in teaching meditation. I will incorporate Qigong in my sessions when I am better at it! I’m currently waiting for my GP to get me onto a Tai Chi ‘prescription’ hosted in the gardens of the Doctors Surgery 😁
@@ACTIVEPAIR - it's wonderful to be able to practice outside and how wonderful to be 'buzzed' by the Swallows while you practice. Your meditation will work well with the Tai Chi standing meditation called 'Zhuan Zhuang' (stand like a tree). It's wonderful that your doctor is able to offer Tai Chi on prescription in their garden. Wishing you well 😊 Lily
Muchas gracias por tomarse el tiempo para practicar conmigo. Me encantaría ofrecer traducciones, pero no estoy seguro de si esto es algo que ofrece RU-vid. Investigaré si hay una manera. 😊🙏 Lily thank you so much for taking time to practice with me - i would love to offer translations but unsure if this is something RU-vid offers? I will investigate if there is a way.
