Hi all! Welcome to my channel! Here you will find an assortment of videos on a variety of mixed media techniques. I largely share my art journal journey with emphasis on grunge and distress techniques! Some of my favorite ways of creating are collage, mark making, scripting and gelli printing.
If you want to dive in deeper with me join me over on 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐨𝐧 (www.patreon.com/robynmcclendon) where we explore book as art, book making techniques, large format journaling, gelli printing sessions and much more!

Ok. I had to pause to share how I deal with drying glue sticks. I’ve never had Gelato but this works on ones I’ve had. Roll the glue back into the tube and spritz with sterile water. (I use a spray bottle). Leave it overnight (or more) and voilà!
I'm your newest fan!! What paper are you pulling your prints with? Thanks for the info on the ARA paints - I'm going to research where to find them. I just found you and love your work - you're very accessible and easy to relate to...Thanks!!
I live just North of Houston, and after this last hurricane, I told my husband, I was ready to move to a state where there’s no natural disasters. He said, ok let’s move to Arizona!
Glassine paper is a nice discovery. I have a case from when I was shipping photos. Great news. I live your book with reference video. You are a great instructor.
Please post link for your large plate. I love your art/creative kid! I have been watching your videos for a while. Thank you for sharing your techniques. Great teacher!!!!
I would like a link to your produce. I am interested in your stamp s that you I think created. The Asian letters stamp. I really enjoy your work and illustration; it helps me in my bible devotional. I can illustration in a different way. Thank you. Oh! Just bought your book. Hope you will shar your "STAMP LINE". Order from art formies, love these stamps. Thank you so very much.
I’m a newbie so I am not great with the brush. I use bottle tops, caps, Legos😂. Thanks for introducing me to the bottom of bottles. Recycling at its best! You are an absolutely gifted artist & teacher! ❤
What size gel plate did you use today? Papers? Paints? This is one of my favorite videos of yours! I try to follow along with your amazing book. Some lessons are easier than others for sure. But, I’m loving every minute! 😍❤
Great “painterly “ session. I would like to see you finish a piece with mark making , collage and brush painting on top. Thanks for another great tutorial.
Hi Robyn. In the book, which I am loving thank you, you have made a large journal using handmade papers. It looks wonderful and I am wondering which paper that you used for that? It takes paint beautifully and id like to try all your techniques once I’ve made a similar book. Can you help? Many thanks for you generosity and skill!!
Great info, Robyn - TY! I also find that deli paper works great too - it grabs paint really well and creates a gorgeous vintage crinkled look. A box of 500 sheets goes for < $15.
I keep rewatching this video because of how inspiring i find it. Such a fun journal! Also, the stained papers that have a lace pattern are absolutely gorgeous. How did you make them?
When you showed the print of the gelli late that you took a photo of, I was thinking that it might be possible to cover the plate with a large sheet of acetate, or better yet, sandwich it between two sheets and put the whole thing in the scanner, but I guess you would want a dedicated scanner for that, as it might easily get dirty.
