So if we shoo around for interest rates do we go with different realtors to do that? Sorry new to this whole process.

I like Chase. I have never had a problem and I have no service fee. They have always provided excellent customer service and always addressed any concern I have had. I do not carry a $1500 balance. I wouldn’t bank anywhere else. I do have direct deposit and I don’t do hoops!

Foolish people have accounts with commercial banks. Credit Unions are the place to be. Deposits insured by the NCUA. You're treated with respect as a member and setting up credit cards and loans is easy. Lines of Credit without collateral are easy to set up with employment and income verification.

When you pay these fees to the bank in the process of potentially waving the escrow, is that in relation to having a mortgage or are you talking about being a cash buyer? Do these things also apply to a cash buyer?

Great video and channel. We waved escrow as well. You can tell it doesn't happen a lot, they kept asking "are you sure you want to do this" haha. We bought our house about 8 years ago and worked our tails off to pay it off. I am now a legit "Debt Free Millennial!"

This might be controversial but do you think a realtor is worth paying 6% of the home cost?

This channel has just become a rich out of touch women's outlet to brag and complain. Notice how she shared her purchase price and down payment (not at all in a smug manner -_-) Totally unrelatable. She doeesn't even realize how elitist she comes off. They've taken their california money and helped ruin kansas for the locals. and all they do is complain about everything still. Going to be hilarious when they get humbled when they lose their California wages and can't replace them. Her claim to fame is paying off 35k in student debt which is extremely easy to do when your husband is a high earner lmao. They waited so long to buy a house to avoid PMI (which is like, $70 bucks a month LOL) that they missed the boat on pre pandemic prices (GENIUS!).

While I agree with you on the checking and savings with these banks, you like me have CC with them. I think Chase does a particularly good job with their CC's. I also had a car loan with them and was very pleased with the very very good website. Wells Fargo had my home loan and likewise did very well.

Don't expect BOA and WF fail anytime soon. Matter of fact, they will not fail. I have never had an issue with BOA and WF. I've been with them for more than 30 years and I am continue to bank with them until I am retired. Any issues you have is your problem, not the bank. This woman just want you to bank with her bank. this is her advertisement!

BOA and WF are still the very best choice for their clients. They are the last resources in the United States. People were talking good about the Credit Union. I read and checked its webpage, I figure out it is a hoax. I am laughing if people bank with this CU. It also has no FDIC. NCUA is a joke! There is no walk in office in the area at all.

I'm confused about the debt free thing. Didn't your last video show quite a sizable mortgage debt ? There is nothing wrong with that obviously. But it's not very accurate to call yourself debt free anymore.

I have b of a checking account. I don't understand when i purchase something money gets deducted from my account and next to the deduction it says processing. A few days later its processed and the money gets deducted from my account again. I'm not an accountant. Seems like there's a scam there

Totally agree. I only use Chase for CC's. I have refused to bank with any of these 3 since about 20 years ago. Fortunately I am a Veteran, so I bank with Navy Federal and USAA. In general a credit union bank are the better option, but not always, as 2008 showed.

Used to bank with Wells Fargo, they stole from me and it was overall a horrible expericence. Never again and I would suggest you avoid Wells Fargo like Covid. Used to work for Bank of America, and I can tell you first hand that it is an absolutely horrible bank. The customer service is lacking, the people working their have little to no idea what they are doing, and often times they just guess at a solution or make some shit up. Whatever it takes to get the customer off the phone or out of the line. NEVER BANK WITH BANK OF AMERICA OR WELLS FARGO. You will regret it if you do, I promise.

I have some WORSE things than that, Check out "Checking for Seniors" by Compass Bank that became PNC Bank, they are a PREDATOR BANK. There is not ROOM in this Space to type up the GIMMICK they have to FOOL SENIORS and Rob them for YEARS. I am a REAL ESTATE Appraiser also. I have not done one in YEARS, though I still have the License because I got TIRED of them constantly trying to BROW BEAT me in to LYING for them. I have worked for MANY Banks and Mortgage Companies, they are ALL crooks to some degree. The THREE most CROOKED Rackets there are Number #1 INSURANCE, #2 BANKS, #3 the Stuck Market. The people that really make money in the Stock Market are the ones that get INSIDE INFORMATION which is ILLEGAL Like Martha Stewart for example. They all are there to ROB you. I try as best I can to NEVER send any of them any money. Want to make MONEY? Buy LAND at the bottom of the cycle. It is interesting to know the "Dutch East India Company" invented TWO of these Rackets, Insurance and the Stock Market as we know it. Google up "Tulip Mania". *Never forget, 99.99999999999 percent of the money STOLEN in the world has NOT been done with a GUN, it was done with a PENCIL* They are hard to find but LOCALLY OWNED Banks are BEST, stay away for "CHAIN BANKS". PNC Bank, Wells Fargo, Chase, Bank of America, are the worst, there are many more.

What do you mean "hopefully" the student loan forgiveness should go through? She signed on the dotted line and why should I, a taxpayer who payed for my college degree, help pay for hers? Where was she when I was paying for my college?

I become debt free by living with parents and wiping out over 60k of debt for 2-3 years after undergrad. It was definitely difficult, but if you come up with a plan and stick to it, it pays off. Nothing could compare to getting that message saying all my student loans were paid off from the lender. It's a great weight to get off your shoulders and truly sets you free.

1 year ahead from this video.. I have secured banking with Chase... and never been charged... they did change the rule on it and now to AVOID the fee you just have to have a minimum electronic deposit of $250 a month... I love my Checking account with Chase because they have the TOP of the Line Bill Pay system and DESTROYS the competition in terms of using Bill pay from other banks or Credit Unions... I been thinking of switching to a Credit Union or Capital One Checking... But the Bill Pay with Capital One is JUST TERRIBLE... MOST of my bill pays with Capital One are getting sent out as Paper Checks... which takes 2 weeks max before they post on the Loan account.... With Chase... All my Bill pays are 1-2 Day Electronic delivery... I am a person that uses a weekly budget and pay my loans on a week to week bases.... The only reason I am hestiate to leave is because They have not done anything to me that makes me want to leave them.. I also have a Sapphire and Southwest card with them...

I can’t wait to be able to say I’m debt free -currently working my way through about $200k in student loans (thankfully only 2.8% interest), but am grateful to have been able to max out retirement accounts and save up to put about 25% down on a home at the same time. I just can’t wait to not have to send $2k/month to Laurel Road/Mohela anymore!

Chase Banks checking accounts interest rates are so high, your only option is pay your balance off as quickly as possible. Plus if you do not make your payment on your closing date as opposed to the due date, you really cannot survive the interest. Pay it off!
