Just went there to get my son an early Christmas present! Nothing like other newer "MicroCenter" stores, this one is a little claustrophobic. Rather dubious "open box" practices, I asked but it was "in the back" and the salesperson eventually (took him a while) brought it out and opened the box. The motherboard was sitting on top of the anti-static bag, no cpu cover for the pins and a bunch of "fluff n crud" in amongst the pins! Very, very shady and they wanted $373 for this normally $469 mobo! Bought new, WILL NEVER GO TO THIS STORE EVER AGAIN, I will spend several hours going to the new store in Indianapolis, IN.

Well, to be fair, it looks about the same quality as its competitors-on the surface, at least. And it did seem clean. So, definitely not luxurious, but decent enough for a value-to-moderately-priced hotel. We do intend to review some other places in the area; see what they’re reeeeeally like. There’s TownePlace Suites by Marriott that just opened up in Florence next to Target, and a large Hampton Inn & Suites in Williamstown next to Ark Encounter will be up and running for 2023.
We were in there a few months ago and it was almost entirely empty. Maybe 2 stores. The store that took the place of Barnes and Noble was already closed down and apparently the others never opened cause it's a ghost town.
Whaaat?! That’s so nuts. We’ll have to go again when we can. (Our little guy was born without an immune system [SCID] and had a bone marrow transplant in October, but I’m sure we’ll head that way once he’s good to go. 👍).
totally want to visit Jungle Jim's. Been hearing about it. I'm way over here in Philadelphia, PA. Maybe will plan a road trip for the fun of it one of these days. 🐈⬛
@@MikeLizLife The Reading Terminal Market has tons of vendors foodwise and otherwise, including Amish produce, meat, and dairy. Of course, everything is about history here, so the constitution center, liberty bell, holocaust memorial, Sprouts Market, the Italian Market and...of course...the rocky statue (now at the bottom of the steps of the art museum)! 🙏...can't forget the infamous cheesesteak wars between Genos and Pat's (an entirely different area of the city altogether)
I worked at First Watch as a line cook and food prep while in college. They have no microwaves or deep fryers. We arrived early each morning to prep everything. Even the whipped butter is made fresh, in house; no joke. Every juice on the menu is made fresh each morning with a high quality, commercial juicer and fresh fruit. If there’s any left at the end of the day, they either dump it or allow us to take some home. I was amazed with how much detail they put into their “fresh” mentality. We had 3 ring binders in the back prep area with recipes for everything we needed to make fresh for the day. I took pictures of a few of the juice and granola recipes. Looking back, wish I would have taken more. Great food and they aren’t lying when they say fresh. I actually enjoyed that job. Great place to work and they close at 2pm so you had the rest of the day for yourself.
Alan, thank you for going into such detail in your comment-that’s all fantastic to know! We really love their food and snag it when we get the chance. Something we haven’t tried yet are their seasonal juice blends. The Purple Haze they have right now looks phenomenal! What were your go-tos there?
Oh wow have things changed Alan. I was an Operations Manager up until a month ago. Although I’ll agree the hours were amazing and it was an ok place to work. Virtually nothing is fresh anymore. The Juices are fresh. But everything else is pre packaged nowadays. Even the potatoes. It’s actually kind of gross. The butter is 100% not prepared anymore along with the sauces. Certain LTO sauces are but it’s very few. Still no microwaves.

Bud, we prefer hearing people’s opinions in comments-even if they’re negative-over dislikes, which don’t tell us anything meaningful. For a little context, when this video was shot, NY State was requiring mask use in their parks when members of multiple parties were in close proximity. However, if it’s the aesthetic choice you’re protesting, then hopefully our editing has and will continue to improve. Feedback definitely helps. May you have a nice day!

@@MikeLizLife I was near Bradford, PA hiking in the Allegheny National Forest the day before I went to Presque Isle. I stayed in Bradford overnight and made the trip to Erie via mostly 1-86. The Lighthouse Tour was $7, but it was well worth it with the views and history. My family is from Western New York, but I’m from Florida. My uncle has a hunting cabin in the Southern Tier section of NY, so I did some hiking there as well before I went into PA. I’ve wanted to go to Presque Isle for a long time, but I’m glad I was able to go this time.

It really was nice; we hope to return in the near future. 😊 So far we’ve only stayed at the Margaritaville Island Inn in Pigeon Forge, and it was great overall (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mjInn62jNCk.html). There are loads of other options, though, depending on what you’re into. The next time we visit, we would like to spend at least one night closer to Gatlinburg itself, so we might consider a cabin, or something like Fairfield Inn & Suites. Are you going to be heading that way soon?!
