I feel like I can barely scratch the surface of the capabilities of a gopro Hero5.... why am I watching this? And why am I jealous as hell? Also... I don't do fashion or portrait photography but I enjoy your content, I'm stoked to see what amazingness you can do with that beast of a camera!
My sweet little goth girl photographer/model heart is sad to hear the "evil" shoot slander 😭 ive had so much fun on shoots like this. But i chose them and wasnt on a weird reality show trying to win a "contract"
Your voice is something you can torture people with. 10-15 minutes and they will tell you everything, just so they don't have to hear it. But must say in this video its not so terrible, you play with it much less.
I have seen in videos that you comment on Tyra as a photographer and how she is mostly pointing and shooting. Since we do not see the behind the scenes regarding setting up etc I was wondering if you can explain what you see. Like how can you spot amateur vs professionel photographer? It could be interesting to know what signs indicates a professionel.
Thrilled for you - we are UK wedding photographers - 35 years in and we use two Hass X2D's as well as the Hass 907xCFV100c - they are the bomb and it will, like it does with us, set you apart from the rest. Good stuff
Even when the location is in Japan, when a westerner shoots, it becomes like a fashion magazine. Could be cultural differences on what looks aestetic or something.
at 4:22 Yes, that's how to get the battery out, its a 'safety' so if the lever gets hit, on a tripod mount, etc, the batt stays put, you flick the lever, then push up slightly, then it pops down; its a way of doing it first seen in the Leica T cameras as a way of making the battery compartment with no flimsy doors, the battery is its own door.
a few key features, there is a built in hard drive, so you don't necessarily need a memory card, it is designed for pros and advanced Enthusiasts, so can be tethered to shoot via the Phocus software, on your laptop, and like many mirrorless today can wirelessly transfer images.
one piece of info, you are NOT just limited to the XCD lenses here!, you can adapt Hasselblads own HCD (H system lenses), CF lenses from the v system, and others, via adaptors, this will even take the 'h.t.s. 1.5x' the tilt shift module for the H system, if you need that; very adaptable; If you need to see more, go to Mathphotographers RU-vid channel he goes in-depth into compatibility, focal length, field of view, menu usage and more, if you need tutorials, MAT Granger, formerly "that Nikon Guy" has some courses on it too, in full detail.
glad you got the chance to get one, I have got the 500c\m 6x6 and the H1 (6x4.5 film & digital) and DON'T just think of that as a mirrorless camera, like a Sony A7, Nikon Z6/7/8/9 or Canon R5! the Hasselblads menus and ergonomics are simpler, and more down to earth than that, you have been given what you need, some custom menu items, but no complex attention seeking features, like the canons' AF menu systems, Face detection, etc, just get to it simplicity so pros can get the job done, so enjoy your time with it.
Those girls should have woke her. Their responsibility or not. I had to wake up my dorm mate constantly and I didn't even like her. I did it because it's the decent thing to do. Especially if you're sharing a bedroom/living space with them.
I like how you served no specs on this video.Instead you expessed and showed your feelings and emotions for this camera. Made me watch the whole 11 min. Too many other boring videos out there with specs.
Thank you DJI for sending Jessica a Hasselblad X2D. Congrats Jessica ! I'm sure you'll really enjoy it, the image quality is utterly out of this world, as I can see from Ted Forbes' reviews. Just keep in mind that a 55mm is pretty much a wide angle in terms of medium format.
Congratulations on your ownership of probably the finest camera ever produced. I bought the X2D a few years ago when it was first introduced. You won't regret it. I take good care of my equipment, so my X2D still looks like new. In fact, I have never taken off the rear screen protective cover!! FYI - 1. Your rear screen can be lifted up from the bottom in two steps - 45 & 90 degrees. 2. If you tap on the on/off button you can see the battery level in the screen on top. 3. Use the "circle" button on the back screen to toggle thru overlay screens. Choose the one you like best. 4. If you do tripod work, buy an "L" bracket. I bought a Peipro - about half the price of an RRS bracket, and just as good. Besides good for tripod work, it also serves as a solid left-hand grip. 5. Be sure to take advantage of the live histogram now available. It is invaluable!! Good luck!!
I got my dream camera almost 2 months ago (A7RV) but the Hasselblad X2D is by far the best looking camera hands down especially the new X2D Earth Explorer Limited Edition
Nice! I need a free HD2 as well! Odd to see Hasselblad giving these to social media influencers. This camera is complete overkill for 99.9% of them. Cameras like this and the Phase One are for true professionals being paid tens of thousand of dollars shooting high end campaigns for major well known brands and/or top agencies. However, Im kind of looking forward to seeing this camera used for shots of random social media models for IG and TT 😂
Well deserved and I'm happy for you! While 99% of other RU-vidrs care only about the gear and switch cameras/brands every few months, you actually care more about the actual photography. I think you've stuck it out with the same gear for quite a while now too; I wish I had girlfriends who were as loyal as you are to your gear. I'm excited to see what you will create with this new setup.
Well, I feel she was seeing them laughing and joking all the time and she thought she could join in. Elitest jerks that they are don't want to include a peon. Janice has really disappointed me. She was one of my favorites in the 80's.
Tyra is the most abusive of all these jerks. I use to like her then she took over ANTM. Sometimes maybe celebrities should keep their real personalities to themselves.
This reminds me of the tattoo industry when your getting in you can’t tell them that that you have other things, they won’t want to teach you. When I was art school I was turned down a found someone to take me on and they were upset I was still painting and working in homework. They say why would I teach you when your just going to quite. Ugh
I see how the red hair color would work on her complexion. But that mullet haircut though. It looks so unfinished -- it's like the hairstylist just gave up in the middle of the haircut. smh
I personally don't feel models should cut their hair short unless they want to. There's wigs and extensions. Hair color. NO! AGAIN...there are wigs and extensions. I wouldn't allow it. I have long hair. Always have. There is no way I would allow it. That hair cut and color washes her face out.
You should do an interview with Eugena Washington or watch an episode that she is featured in together. She is very vocal about the way she was treated on the show.
