Love how the narrator confidently states that the future of the Metro is secure, but the Mini's is in question. Then John Cooper weighs in, hoping that the Mini survives the turn of the century. Well, here we are in 2024 and they are selling more minis than ever! Also, speculating if I may, the classics that they were producing in this documentary are going higher and higher in value.
This is an example of the RTL bus, the Leyland version of the AEC RT type. This particular bus is RTL48, the second earliest RTL known to have survived. Worse condition buses have been restored, but the amount and cost of the necessary work will be immense.
The head lining in my Rover 45 was all sagging just like yours. However, instead of replacing it, I removed it and after cleaning and preparing the roof i then painted it with a matt grey paint the same as the interior of the car and it looks just like the original, only it will never become saggy again. 👍😊
How lovely. Jamie, I'd be interested to know what equipment/ editing software / camera you used. Since moving to the island, I've become interested in making short films. It's such a beautiful island.
It wasn't all rosy in 1849 at Winterbourne in Bonchurch. Dickens worked hard and partyed hard that summer, and by the autumn he was exhausted, probably depressed, and disenchanted with the place he had fallen in love with earlier. He was only human after all.
Sorry Mk 1 and III , a late 70s kid, I loved the MkII look. My favourite , especially with an X Pack body. Yes like all I modified like a MkIII with the headlights, but then I reverted back. 2.8i's became common.
I really enjoyed your film on your stunning car. I had a yellow Mk 1 MG ZR 110 Diesel in Yellow and I happened to be passing the dealership in Inverness on the way to Glasgow for a meeting the next day and spotted a stunning car I felt I must own. They pulled out all the stops and I completed my Journey in a nearly new MG ZS 180 in XPower Grey with the wing. I still think it is one of my favourite cars I have ever owned. I sometimes think I should invest in another one and regret selling it but at the time I was living on an island where fuel costs were high and I only got 5 miles to the Litre in mine at the time so it was sold. Great car sadly missed to this day.
Exercise in futility. Best to break them up and recover whatever materials can be easily recovered without causing environmental pollution. Even the breaking up and recovery of useful materials will cost more.
Hi Jamie, me and and my mate are rover mg enthusiasts, he's painted his in bedliner paint..available in many colours..from jawel paints..roll on too....
Just watched your video, outstanding car, lovely colour 💙 Coz I am now looking for one, facelift version that is. I think the mk2 grill blends in better. Previously looking at Rover 25/45 but the boy racer in me (1959) says MGZS 🚙💨💨
