Its the NATO bivy bag, cheap off Ebay. My first bivy and probably the best because of the quality and cost. If its good enough the British army then its good enough for me. Other bags are smaller, lighter and packable but you pay more. If you wanna try bivy camping and not sure you will like it, this is the way to go then upgrade later if you want a hooped bivy or something more minimal like a Hunka for bike packing. The Hunka is amazingly compact and lightweight but not as breathable as the army bag.
He hasn't explained but I reckon he just lost interest and has found another hobby called metal detecting which I do and sometimes its something I get into and forget about RU-vid.

I have 2 pairs of gloves and got them from ALDI or LIDL about a year apart, the last time was about 3 months ago so its probably ALDI if thats where you saw them.
