Damien. Do a lot of wildcamping myself with my dogs up and around Wark forest. I suffer from anxiety and when I have a night or two out I feel much better. If I don’t get out I keep looking through your videos, so keep them coming because your daft banter is class and keeps me going mate. Christopher’s a good young man, good to watch him grow up over the years. Keep the videos coming to cheers us all up. Cheers mate, god bless.
Was a good night from what I can remember and a bit embarrassed seeing myself in a drunken state when editing so had put it off for a while. Its a lovely bit of woodland, hope Jimmy invites us out again soon, ATB.
Damien, I know the last year has had its tough moments but I'm glad to see you've really got your mojo back in the last two videos. Just keep it rolling this is such a genuine channel. Stick with the Fell Wanderer.....'You know it makes sense....you KNOW IT MAKES SENSE!'
I recently played a game at camp with some fellow RU-vidrs and the question was ‘if you could choose another youtuber to camp with who you haven’t before who would it be’ my answer was easy - the fell wanderer. The warm weathered / you know it makes sense legend of all legends. From the days of Christopher having holes in his tarp against his knowledge to now .. your videos are brilliant. Yesssiii mr pussycat - Adam in the wild.
I deleted loads of footage because it was a bit over the top. Sometimes it s nice to chill and not feel pressured into making a video. Those camps are just a group of friends getting together for a catch up and piss up in the woods
@@Fell_Wanderer I hike 'wander' and wild-camp. I have a NEED to do it. Some people think it's madness, especially those who have lined pockets. Dubai is just a rich man's Benidorm. I am not knocking Benidorm, it's just not for me. Hiking and wild-camping is my bag. My siblings and *friends think I am 'off my rocker'.Their kids (and dogs), on the other hand, are excited to join me. All that being said, a yomp into the woods for the soul purpose of making a fire, laughing at the crack and getting hammered is a worthy endeavour... without aforementioned kids and pups. Footnote: *One of my friends, who camped with me when we were 16, joined me in New Zealand at the beginning of the year. I am 57 and she is 58 - She is SO old.
Sitting here laughing away that was a cracking night out Damien glad you finally put the video up 😂😂 always a good night with adult humour you know it makes sense 🤟🤟 catch up soon mate atvb Jimmy 😎😎👍👍🤟
Took a while as its hard when feeling tired after work. Seeing me drunk and a bit over the top made me cringe at times. I would have included more footage of Roney with his survival hat but I spoiled it by talking over the top instead of shutting up and just filming. Those sort of camps are for chilling, a catch up and having fun without the pressure of having to film too much but I'm pleased I captured some of the night which was a great meet up so thanks for the invite, hope to get out again soon Jimmy, ATB.
Damien. Look up aqua quest defender tarps. They are the best there is, dd tarps are like 2 ply bog roll compared to them. The aqua quest defender 10x14 is the beast i use. They are a bit heavier but if it comes to it you can roll up in it on the ground in a storm and stay safe and dry. Another bonus is they come with a lifetime warranty to be replaced (your life)
They look heavy duty and strong. The 3x2 reminds me of the army basher, about the same size / weight and in camo, if the company approached me I would try one of those. I have the DD superlight and its small in pack size and weight but feel it would hole easy so lightweight isn't always the best option. Thanks for the info, ATB.
I didn't like it at first because it was a pain to deflate and stuff into its sack. Now I just partly deflate the best I can and stuff anywhere there is space in my pack. Its a cheap and comfortable mat, will buy another when they appear in LIDL again.
@@Fell_Wanderer I found that the trick was to jam the valve open, then leave my army arctic bag on top for a minute or two, to flatten it. Works a treat. 👍
Hi Graham, I'm sure we will sort something out in the not too distant future once Xmas is out the way. I'm planning time off work from 22nd December until January 8th so will let you know when I'm out next
