I am an Evangelist and MVP for Microsoft Business Applications, and I love getting people excited about this awesome technology, opening new possibilities, using it to solve business problems, and giving back to this community which has given me so much, learning and sharing together every day.
I have been testing copilot studio for a couple months. The interface is indeed intuitive and easy to work with. But the results I have had are really poor. You take an example with Sharepoint: the limit of size for document is 3Mo per document which makes copilot studio practically useless when it comes to dealing with documents. The responses are also super slow in general. I tested also on my own company's website and I have been extremely disappointing by the results. Copilot studio is fuelled by an old model as well I believe (chat gpt 3.5) which is quite late compared to where the technology is today. So I hope it will get better over time, but we are really not there yet
I can see that you are building your CP in a US environment. How do we know if our AU environment has all the features working? FYI, I have yet to be able to upload any files (Word, Excel or PDF) and have my specific content discoverable in the CP. I have waited hrs and even days for some processing. Thoughts?
Holy cow - I don't know who you are, Lisa, but I wish I had discovered you long ago. The Dynamics documentation is such crap. I learned more practical things in this one course than I discovered in hours and hours of mucking about with Dynamics "help"
Hi Lisa, the mapping function is exactly what I was looking for!.. kinda annoying we need to switch to the old system to access these essential functions... I have a question, I am having issues with the timeline, I've created a custom activity table but no matter how I create the record it does not show up in the timeline... is this something you can help me with? Thank youuuu
Great tutorial! Thanks for that! But .. am I correct in seeing two Application tables? I've found a System table and a Custom one (my own). This caused me some confusion when adding the tables to the app at 1:17:45. I couldn't find an option not to show system tables and the interface has changed a bit when selecting tables. I ended up selecting them both and in the navigation pane removing the one that gave me a blank page instead of the Active Applications view. Also, I couldn't find the icons you are using but that's not an issue at all. Nonetheless a fantastic tutorial! Love to see more.
I’ve checked one of my environments and you’re right; there is a standard Application table. One option if it’s confusing is to change the display name of your table to something like “Job Applications”. So hard to have content that keeps up with the user interface changes but glad you were able to find your way through it.
Amazing, as usual, Lisa! I've been using Copilot for M365 in Word for a few months now and still learned a ton. I've shared it with our license holders, as well and have heard great feedback. Thank you!
There is a custom page section in my new full tutorial that might help Model Driven Power Apps Beginner Tutorial [Full Course] 2024 Edition ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HrILchHvMUA.html
Well done ... VERY insightful ... as usual I've got a long way to go on this topic but these videos are SO helpful. Love your work. Thank you ... Thank you ... Thank you ... 😍
Thank you for the video. It's early days, so I won't be overly critical, but PPT is generally not impressive for business. I say this as a daily user of ChatGPT and Copilot/Github.
Hello @LisaCrosbie, I'm curious to know if Microsoft Copilot Studio supports custom bot logic. For example, if we create an Azure Web App and need Copilot to call its endpoint and respond accordingly, does Copilot have this capability?
Great video!!! what I want to know is when you ask an AI question, how do you know whether he is using his own connected Azure OpenAI model or a built-in model?
The disappointing bit is that in the Word client you can’t browse your cloud files and can only see the last 3 recent files used, when referencing files, but in the Word Online you can 🤦♂️
Great Video! do you have a video that explain how to integrate copilot studio with an internal CRM / DB for enrichment and more personal approach to the cients?
Loved this video! Thank you for sharing your knowledge Lisa! 😍😍 I've just created my very first Model Driven app thanks to you! Loved the way you explain each concept you are very clear and funny! Marvelous work!
Great video Lisa! I'm new to Copilot but have been using the other apps (ChatGPT etc.) for a while. Is there a way to build in instructions such as putting your "voice" paragraph or other options into something like Custom Instructions to make Copilot specific to what you want?
Not in Copilot for Word at this stage, but you can create a custom GPT at copilot.microsoft.com which is very similar to the experience you describe in ChatGPT
@@LisaCrosbie Thanks. I think the GPT option is being blocked since I don't see it. I'll have to check out Studio and see if I can do something with that.
Hi Lisa Crosbie, very Good after noon, how to use Type Script in Dynamic 365 CE, if any examples please post, and how to use web api in types script in D365 platform.
Beginners question: if users (in corpo) can already access and use the model driven apps without any actions we take - does it mean we already have necessary license level?
Thank you so much. It really helped to understand the Model driven apps. The Copilot search did not work though I have followed all the configurations suggested. Any suggestion on this?
Sorry this isn’t a good forum for troubleshooting. Perhaps post in the Power Apps Community forum or see if anyone else has had a similar problem there.
I would like to ask, theres a question in one of the microsoft exams that asks how users can edit data from other entities in the main form, and many people chose subgrids, but i thought the right answer would be to add a quick create form. Can I get your opinion on this?
Hard to say without knowing the full details of the questions and answers which obviously you can’t share because of exam NDA. I’d lean towards the subgrids as the more likely correct answer if the question was about how to edit (rather than create)
How can we test this. How to setup formal tests. How to evaluate the quality of a specific setup and choose the best solution quality/cost. Great video. Very inspiring
Hey Lisa, Great information. I tried building a copilot to test pulling information from a company webpage. But the copilot keeps throwing up incorrect information. For instance, when I ask about the CFO of the company, it doesn't show the information though the website has it under the leadership team. I tried another leader and it worked. Also, i tried looking up the address for one of the company's office locations and it didn't show me that information. How do we fix these issues?
It’s working with the Bing indexing on your website so you might want to look at how your website content is indexed and if it is including outdated pages or content. Otherwise try the Copilot Studio community forum for specific troubleshooting help.
Would it be a good idea for business to use Customer Insights by itself, or does it only work best as an additional app alongside Sales or Customer Service?
The part demonstrated here - now called Customer Insights - Data - is designed to be standalone, you don’t have to have Dynamics 355 with it. However it now includes the Customer Insights - Journeys (Dynamics 365 Marketing) in the same license so if you don’t already have a marketing automation system or are looking to change or upgrade that part of your tech stack that is well worth considering
I set up the template in US date format because my environment is in the US. If your environment is in DD/MM/YYYY format then change the dates in the spreadsheet to that format before you import.
