This channel is a video blog about my bird sightings from around the world. Most videos here will be raw, i.e. as they were shot on camera and uploaded here with minimal processing (usually just clipping out the interesting portion). Sometimes I might add commentary or annotations.

You should not use a laser. That’s being irresponsible!

You are a magician. Setting up scope, snapping photos and creating this video.....Amazing ! I can relive this trip again and again with the conversations in the background. And all the birds identified as easy reference for my images.

Might their feet not freeze to the cement?
@birderstravelogue

They came and went several times, so somehow it wasn't an issue for them. I think its very unlikely that would happen in this temperature. If it was -25 maybe it is more likely. Which is why I didn't let the whole bird bath thaw, otherwise they might be tempted to dip themselves or their feathers into the water, which could then freeze over a branch, and the result could be deadly. The water is kept just warm enough and small enough to sip from.

Is the hot water IN the can and why rock on top
@birderstravelogue
@birderstravelogue 9 месяцев назад
Yes the hot water is inside the can, the rock is to keep the plastic lid in place so the heat is retained for longer within the can.
