I'm just a guy who likes to make things, modify them and sometimes break them too. Follow along as I tinker out in my shop or mess around with cars, trucks, jeep and other toys. I'm in no way a professional at any of this stuff and as they say "a jack of all trades, but master of none". My videos are might be a little on the cheesy side and my projects are far from perfect, but I have fun doing them, and just as much fun making the videos. So I hope you enjoy the process with me, like my videos and subscribe to the channel.

Had a similar issue doing LCA’s, where the bolt would just spin in place & not back out. Like in your video, had a small gap where the bolt partly came out. Ended up being able to get a ball joint separator in btwn the bolt & body. Then, used 2 impacts to drive the BJ separator open & back out the bolt at the same time. Worked like a charm.
I had a 2017 Ram 1500. Around the 29000 mileage marker. I developed a intermittent no crank, no start. Well i sent it to the dealership under warranty. They called me hours later to tell me they couldn't find anything wrong. I picked the truck up and drove it home. Next day same thing. So i disconnected the battery. Jacked up the truck and removed that dust shield. I took a 1/4 inch ratchet and a 13mm socket. I turned the main nut on the positive battery cable at the starter a quarter turn. Climbed out from underneath the truck. Reconnected the battery and bam. The truck started up and was fine. Till the day i turned it in for a newer ram. Which was over a year later. Since 2017. I have owned two 4th gen rams and two 5th gen rams. Not because they're junk.
My trusty grinder just started making a weird noise Damn. I started taking it apart and noticed either already broke or broke when j took it apart a small rectangle metal piece with copper wire attached to it just floating around I’d like to fix it when I get time and if I know what to do N the meantime I need a battery powered DeWalt anyway but have to wait for some extra cash for that
The rectangle piece you describe sounds like the end of a carbon brush. You likely used up the brushes completely and need to change them. Pretty easy to do and replacements aren't expensive.
@@nothandsomebuthandy yes I have a 2023 ram 2500 Dj, Thanks to your video I have already installed the brake now I am trying to do the update! Do you think it is possible to do it with the alfaOBD demo?
@JHNCV I didn't know there was a demo. I imagine it might have limited features and there are several things to change in the ecu and it would suck not to be able to complete all the changes.
@JHNCV here is a link to basic instructions for the security bypass: www.obdgenie.com/pages/boxbypassinstructions there are other brands to choose from but install should be similar.
Finally found my shift pattern on mtz manual it's a little different than yours I think . I haven't tried it yet ,but how do you operate the rear hydraulic remotes?
You probably shouldn't heat up the Rocks over 240° Fahrenheit and leave them in there a little bit longer instead. They'll probably degrade a lot slower.
@nothandsomebuthandy Yes I did. Must be another problem. I'll look at the ignition switch and related electronics next. Battery is good all gauges come on. The tow truck driver tried a boost but that didn't do anything so it's not the battery. The starter relay is clicking when the key is turned but I don't have a way to test it without buying a new one and swapping it out.
There may be another relay in the box you can swap with to test but I can't remember exactly. Check the ASD relay as well. It's a bit of work to get out but you could take the starter off and test it on a bench to be sure before shelling out for a new one or extra diagnosis.
@nothandsomebuthandy I got it! It's the starter. I jumpered the starter relay and heard a small click sound without it turning over, so it needs to be replaced. Thank gawd it wasn't the ignition key/box those things are hilariously expensive.
That's the first Belarus power shift I've seen. I have several of the all mechanical. The 800 and above series are so versatile with the 540 & 1000 pro. You can switch over to 1000rpm pto and run the tractor engine at 1250 rpm and have 540 rpm at the pro so you can power a pro generator just above idle and have cheap electricity.
I'm pretty sure but I'll have to go through the options again to confirm. It's basically a big android tablet so it has many of the same options and customizations and you can install almost any app on it. I haven't been driving the car much the last few weeks but I'll try to get you an answer as soon as possible.
@@DontForgetOldKolobok so I checked it out today and you can definitely black the screen out. I made a short showing how to do it. ru-vid.commVAq8STxT1M
On top of your screen should be a plate. When you put the cover over the rotor it has small marks that must line up it it won't work. When you shut the tractor off you should hear the filter continue spinning. Not the very outer cover the one where you need a screw driver. Must line up with notch on rotor. They are very small. Once lined up scribe a better mark. If it's not spinning after it's not working. Is order a screen and on top of the impeller is a metal plate with a hole that fits over the shaft. When it's working the inside walls will be caked with gunk. We had ours for a long time before we figured this out.
@@nothandsomebuthandy I'm doing mine right now. For some reason I had the washer that goes under the cap nut under the little nut inside that's inside. That's why I looked up this video. Everyone is unaware of these marks. It does say it in my manual. I wish I could send or post a pic. Says line up the marks scribed on rotor cover with boss for balance. Boss is the thing your holding with screw driver. Good video but that important part needs added.
@aaroncortney819 interesting, what manual do you have? I have the original manual from Belarus (in Belarusian) and the service manual from MTZ Equipment Canada
@@nothandsomebuthandy it's a Belarus manual in English And have another that's the exploded view of parts in several languages and difficult to use. It shows nothing but pictures with a number them you find the number in the back to find what part is called.
Hi dear, thanks for the very informative video on how to clean the magnetic valve. May i ask if what the possible issue of my wing van? because when i push the switch button up and down on the left side it goes normally but when i do that the other wing at the right goes up when i push the up button and even the down button the right wing will not go down but it goes up. When i tried the switch of the right wing same happened no down movement and same happened when i do that to the left switch up and down button the left wing react.
@@nothandsomebuthandy not yet, but i will try it tomorrow. So power supply will be the possible cause for that? Or a clogging shaft? Thank you for your reply.
@@nothandsomebuthandy thank you for your advice, i will personally check it and will comment soonest for update. I am very thankful seeing your video on youtube. Keep up the good work.
Not that I'm aware of. I think there is something for windows but I'm not familiar with it. I have read that people bought a cheap amazon tablet to run alfaodb rather than source an android phone.
This video was re-released with the sound corrected and other edits. Watch the corrected video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Gvv8JqcQ0iU.html
Very unuseful sorry !! It is filmed at such high speed but we don't really see what and how it is dimanteled and what tools it has been used and so on....!
Hi Chris, I agree it's not a great how-to video. My videos are more aimed to sharing the projects that I do in my spare time for entertainment purposes. Also for some repair jobs people just need to see the process of how something is done to get them rolling in the right direction and figure out the small details as they go.
@@nothandsomebuthandy Thank you for answering and I did not want to be disrespctful of course but since I have a 2009 CBR RR I was really curious how to take of and back the sides knowing it is anoying and not intuitif either....
@chrisolivet9084 all good, I appreciate any feedback. This is actually a friend's bike that I was helping out with and it is probably the worst bike I have ever worked on. I wish I could have been more help in the video but for the most part I was trying to figure it out myself. Putting the plastic parts back took the most time and in the end I still wasn't satisfied with how it went together but unfortunately honda designed it to fit with minimal bolts.
I have a '13 and am thinking of doing this. I didn'nt check when I changed my heater core but are the connectors already there just secured since not being used?
They should be but check first. Under the dash on the driver's side near the radio there should be two connectors wrapped in grey foam. Easy to find without taking anything apart.
Sorry I misunderstood your first question about the reverse hot, I thought you were talking about the signal wire on the reverse camera. The wires I ran through the dash and spliced in the right side panel are the reverse camera signal and ground (which connect to the yellow rca). The reverse signal wire (to turn on the camera) is included in the adapter harness.
@@nothandsomebuthandy Mine isn't working though. Everything is wired up correct. Gonna check tomorrow to see if the trigger wire is hot when in reverse.
Here's what I have in my install document: Reverse (+)¹ Body Control Module under driver’s dash, white 48-pin plug (F), pin 41 - white/tan. Does that sound like the wire colour/pin location you used?
Thanks for clarifying to unlock the steering lock before removing the fuse. I followed another video and just pulled the fuse. It didn’t work. I will unlock before pulling the fuse this time.
Nothing surprises me when your building anything.. you are so innovative and knowledgeable about what you know. My only thing i wish you would have done is painted your logo black instead of green so it would have stood out more with the different color 😉.. you need to put a patent on that rig. Good job 👏
@maureencameron5302 actually I don't have it any more, it's busy at work drilling thousands of holes. I actually built a second one too because we needed two.
@@nothandsomebuthandy well now you definitely need to get a patent done .. you could make millions and retire 😉 then give me a 1/4 for telling you to get it patented .. bahaha Jk but seriously though u should look into this
Depends how big an area you want to do and how deep. I did my four 4'x30' gardens with it the first two years before getting a rear tine. It's definitely suited for small jobs or those with limited budgets.
Whatever happened to this project. I'm actually kind of interested in the same thing and hey I'm from New Brunswick to. Moncton to be exact.living In Ontario now.i have a focus sport hatch thinking about doing the same thing 😁.
I'm actually in Moncton and the project is still on my to-do list but smaller projects are getting priority right now because I know once I get started my garage is going to be tied up for quite a while. If things go as planned I should begin this fall.
A metal one is fine but just tap lightly to begin with. You're looking to vibrate the locking pin loose so the solenoid can pull it back. It's best to have a second person who can wiggle the steering wheel a little and press the start button while you tap on the box. Once the car goes to the on position you can stop tapping and pull the fuse. Don't forget to have the key fob in the car with a good battery. Maybe put it in the fob slot to be safe.
@Abundance4LL if it is the red key light and not the yellow one you may need a new battery in the fob, try putting it in the fob slot and try a new good quality CR2032 battery to see if it goes away
i’m not sure if this is the same problem i’m having but basically it’s a hit or miss sometimes my car will unlock with the key fob sometimes i have to manually open the door with the key then i get in and sometimes it start with just push to start and sometimes i sit there for minutes putting it in the little fob under the steering wheel and pressing unlock until it finally decides to turn on is this what the problem is or does my problem sound different? btw this has been going on for months now
How old is the main battery in the car? The key fob signal antenna in the car seems to be really sensitive to less-than-perfect voltage and I've seen that even if the battery starts well the key is not detected properly. I've also read about people changing the antenna but a new battery is inexpensive and easy to change.
Those are very good saws i've had one for 30 years. The ignition is only down fall. They will get it in for their size. To bad the got in bed with the echo whores.
