Lovely to be creating impromptu Ikebana this way. Terribly exciting when people actively live/ honor their inclinations and sensibility. Yours is a tender, artful one. Concerned for your surprise comrad, however. Was he a homeless pup in need of water, food? Wonderful to see him peacefully joining you while you "ike-ban-a-ed!" Truly hope he's safe. Hello Karen, Thank you for this nice comment. Our companion was fine. He joined us for the whole afternoon, but then his owner called him back, and he left in a hurry. He should have been with the sheep, but he liked Ikebana better :-).
Ilse, what a pleasant surprise to find this video of yours on RU-vid. You are incredible! I am so glad you are my teacher. I love what you were doing and the way I perceived it was the tree bleeding to death. I am happy you put some meaning into this tree.
Sometimes imperfections bring out our highest achievements! Your creation is exemplary of that concept. I felt as though I would have very much enjoyed seeing the finished piece.

Thank you for the reaction. I guess you dont like the music too much. We can discuss about it. I wanted to give an uplifting feeling, and convey that ikebana can be fun and does not have to be too serious.

While the larger world plots and screams, builds with metals, tears down with frightening gadgets - there you are - tender, coersive, threading tapestries made of green and other earthly filament. Much respect for this ongoing , almost inaudible music, and the friendships, kinships that "weave" with you, and are nourished by, and supportive of - this labor. So very, very beautiful, Ilse.

This music was very emotional - almost too emotional for me to create ikebana art. I need to add a more upbeat verse between listening and creating. The arrangements are also dark; Getting my mind into such a dark creative emotion is hard.
The music is indeed dark, and so are the arrangements. The intention is to show that you can express any feeling with ikebana. This presentation was very inspiring. The music was beautiful and calming, which should be how we respond to our ikebana creativity. Also, the two contrasting arrangements created simultaneously show how we can have entirely different approaches to our ikebana. Thank you.
