You had me until you said that fossil fuel burning is the sole problem of co2 increases in the air. Explain to me, then, how co2 increases happened in earth's history prior to fossil fuel burning? Humans breath out co2, and our population has exploded. An increase of forest fires can cause additional co2 as well. Over harvesting of forested areas can diminish the earths capacity to filter co2, and raise levels as well.......But no. As you clearly said in your video, it's the burning of fossil fuels that's causing the problem. How very unscientific of you.

How many billions of these worms died while not getting the "evolved" part right? And why don't we see billions of fossized Elvis worms. Oh? Too deep? They either got it right the first time or went extinct.

Hey I was reading a book that made me worried. OUR FINAL WARNING (SIX DEGREES OF CLIMATE EMERGENCY) by MARK LYNAS In his book he talked about Charles Keeling and his son. That's how I jumped on the internet then found this channel. I love science and I am currently studying Physics. What can I do to help?

Dr. Prather's comment above did not age well. It demonstrates that very bright people can be total idiots lacking common sense. I wonder what Dr. Prather would say now in retrospect, given that her theory about covid lurking in the ocean has been completely debunked..

It's late summer. You've been out boating with your loved one, skinny dipping and sun bathing on the cliffs. A wonderful day. At dusk you take the boat home and suddenly the waves light up with a turquoise light. You reach your arms around your favourite person and know that everything will be all right.

So it gets towed to the location and then flipped on end? Not really a ship if it can't sail on its own imo.. just a fancy Buoy. Still cool tho.

@scrippsoceanography
@scrippsoceanography 3 месяца назад
Great question! Videographer Jeff Hester says you are right -- it was a Sony FX3 with a 35mm f/1.4 lens and the drone was a DJI M600 Pro with Gremsy T3V3 gimbal. The settings he used were roughly: Shutter- 1/60, Aperture- 1.6, ISO- 102400, S&Q mode shooting 48fps on 24fps time base. You can see more of Jeff's fantastic video work here: www.jeffbhester.com.
