Kimberly Prather, a distinguished professor and director of the Center for Aerosol Impacts on Chemistry and the Environment (CAICE) at UC San Diego, leads research into aerosols, both natural and human-originated. She studies how aerosols that are produced from sources such as the ocean seed clouds and influence global climate. In addition, she studies how aerosols, including pollutants and pathogens, impact human health even miles away from the ocean.
