The Brainwaves Video Anthology is produced and filmed by Bob Greenberg. Here you will meet the thinkers, dreamers and innovators; some of the brightest minds in education. This series is meant to inspire and engage the viewer to dig deeper and learn more. In the words of Georges Melies, (The Invention of Hugo Cabret) "Now sit back, open your eyes and be prepared to dream."
Yes, using the mind that God gave to you, to each of us. Also, I would add, inspiring the courage or boldness to ask those questions and to think critically.
1) West started it all in 2014 coup. 2) West started the civil war by starting slaughtering Russian speaking civilians that didn't accept West's made coup. 3) West slaughtered 8 years civilians, without Russia escalating it, Vladimir Putin even personally requested people under terror NOT to declare independence but to trust Minsk treaties. 4) 2022 West made Ukraine invade two independent sovergn nations, DPR and LPR. 5) 2022 West started military operation against those two, that made official by the international law, request from Russia as their treaty allowed, to protect them against Ukraine. 6) 2022 Russia started Special Military Operation (not declarition of the war, not full-scale war) that offered military support for DPR and LPR. 7) After that, multiple other Ukraine oblasts has requested to join Russia, but being under Ukraine terror, they are suppressed and terrorized so it doesn't happen.
I agree, but having 6 years of living abroad in an English-speaking country and using the second language (which is English for me) for more than 50% of everything that I did was enough to understand a lot, but I wasn't able to differentiate between when to use present perfect or past perfect ("have" and "had" sound similar, and the structure is similar). Didn't get it until I started studying grammar specifically.
why there is not one sub-Saharan American that has some respectable degree in chemistry, mathematics, engineering, architecture, mathematics, or robotics why are they all philosophers, why is this race so lopsided??????? in all genres of humanities..
Why isn't the "socialist" argument levelled against a taxpayer funded military industrial complex that sucks trillions away from useful public infrastructure and programs that help people? (Not that I think labelling something as Socialist is intrinsically a bad thing. It's about what Jeremy Bentham and John Stuart Mill held up as the greatest good for the greatest number).
Jennifer Brown, and other grifters like herself write nothing but books that are self-serving. Of course, she believes all the rhetoric she writes- It directly serves her interests and her ability to call herself a CEO of her one woman show. She is able to quote herself and cherry picked statistics without the burden of proof just because she says “I am a lesbian, and I think I am important. Therefore, you should hire nothing but non-contributing nonperforming people in the periphery, because even though they do not add to the gross output of your organization.” They presuppose importance simply because of what makes them different. Such logic has been debunked time and time again, but as Jennifer loves to echo: diversity is strength even if it never makes a contribution to any companies bottom line. Snake oil in a pink bottle is just as useless as any other container, and Jennifer struggles to argue that there is something of value in it when there simply is not.
Great advice! Dr. Waldinger. I 've been the reading the book: The Good Life by Robert Waldinger and Marc Schulz. It is a wonderful book,! I highly recommend it.
Hello from Rick V., Scott. SO glad to see what you have been able to achieve getting the story to the world. I re-encountered the story online, followed it and saw your name. I finally settled down in Orry Gun, after many wanderings. ( I'm bilingual now) my parents finally settled in Michigan and I have yet to find out how the few relatives I have there in Portage faired in the tornado.
As a Canadian, I feel your book is very relevant in our country today. I only wish there were Canadian scholars (in addition to Jordan Petersen) discussing this openly, as I think Canada has fallen into the "identity trap". Identity and grievance politics go hand in hand. Indigenous "nations" plus other self-defined groups, with past grievances, pursue recourse through courts. The country has broken up into little enclaves, the "universal" vision is gone. Perhaps this is also a reflection of Trudeau's "post nationalistic state" vision?. Although acknowledging past grievances is part of the solution, cancelling out the (white) "colonisers" which include the first PM of Canada in 1867 and early immigrant settlors, whom most Canadians value, is going backwards. I hope other countries take note.
Ms. Hicks! Seven minutes and fifty-four seconds I will never get back. Your only body of work relates to dignity and conflict resolution. Do you really think you can resolve major conflicts with this pathetic attempt at stating something remotely interesting or profound? The entire history of humanity revolves around human interaction and conflict; the constant struggle to find mutual understanding, respect, and compromise for one another. Why on earth do you think you can change human nature at its core? It is ridiculous to think that you are contributing anything to society with these atrocious talks. Please stop. However, I do agree with one of your points. You stated that “people want an apology when someone does them wrong.” This is absolutely correct. I do. I do want an apology for you putting out this garbage content. I do want an apology for your insufferable voice forcing me to throw my $1,200 laptop out of the window. Please treat everyone with dignity and retire.
Sounds good. I'd be happy if higher education was mostly something like job training, but for the 'truly' part I wish I and my fellow students had been offered Thucidides History Of The Peloponnesian War and tasked to discuss it in relation to current human behavior. Probably other books, The Prince, for instance, would serve, but the idea is to truly educate us, not brainwash or leave us ignorant regarding power. Maybe also a psychology class in the makeup of people who seek power and people who support it.
