Came here after I made a purchase of similar lights. I wasn't sure if it's legal to put on the trailer. Why didn't the backup lights come with the boat trailers in the first place?
Looking for standalone best side imaging for best price for older 14' boat. Like the navionics on UD93V w/ gt56. Is this as good as say the Hummingbird Mega g4si products so many people have?? THX!!
Does anyone know if it's as simple as upgrading the transducer? I have the Garmin echomap 93sv with the gt54. If I upgrade to the gt56 am I going to get all the benefits or do I need the entire unit ?
@@Gatto1227 you will get more benefit out of a better unit, but the 56 will work with your unit as long as it’s a UHD model (if it came with a gt54 then it is) the most you will have to do is update the unit.
I had a 93sv echo with the upgraded card on the bow . Now I have a 126sv echo I want on the bow and move the 93 to the council . Do I need to add in a nemma 2000 sistem in also? I want to be able to use my units one at a time when I'm fishing solo . Can I down load my upgraded card from last season into my 126 ? I also want to use my 93 seperate in my ice fishing kit . Do you have wiring diagrams for what I will need to do please ?
No nmea network is needed. You will simply need a “Ethernet” style network cable as shown in this video. As far as the mapping. Once the 93 is networked to the 126 the 126 will see the map card.
@MGMarineTech hey getting back to u, networked the 106sv to the 73cv and it did add Sidevue to the 73cv home screen and shares the gt54 from the 106sv. Also it displays the preloaded navionics + built-in the 106sv. Both units have the latest updates 29.0, hope this helps!!!
Hey man. Any idea why my map depths dont match my sonar depths. Its off 10-15 ft. Kind if frustrating. Im no expert so there may be somthing im missing.
Great and informative video. In the video you said that if you crisscross while you are recording will give you more accurate maps. I think that once you turn the mapping on it makes completely new contour lines, I don't think the mapping adds to the accuracy of the previous mapping. My question is: What is the best direction to record breaks or drop-offs, parallel to the break, drop-off or perpendicular to the break, drop-off.
Just ran across this video and the part that caught my attention the most is that the map is around my old stomping grounds. I used to live in Three Oaks. Very informative video.
Interesting that that piece of paper said "lithium ion" batteries on it, not lithium iron phosphate (LifePO4). Weird, right? In any case, I would be more worried about the alternator over-charging and ruining the lithium battery, than the lithium ruining the engine. Well, I guess overcharging could actually trigger a fire, and that could ruin an engine, but LiFePO4 is less flammable than lithium ion. In any case, lithium hates being over charged: it is deadly to lithium, so that is really something the engineers of alternator charging systems are going to have to work out. There are going to have to be aftermarket solutions. It shouldn't be that hard to maintain a minimum of 12.6 volts to start the engine with, though, since lithium will hold a little higher volts than lead acid.
I have a Echomap UHD 73SV at dash and an echomap plus 73sv at bow connected with a garmin ethernet cable. I manually input 200 waypoints on the uhd and only three waypoints showed up on the echomap plus. Share user data is on at both units. What am I doing wrong?
The network mgt in these is not great so try unplugging them both and starting them up, Let them get fully booted. You may or may not get a source error depending on the last time they "saw" each other. Power them both back down and put the network cable back in both and power them back up. These seems to force a network discovery again and may fix it. If not export the waypoints to an SD card (Data Mgt) and do a reset on both units. That is what Garmin has most folks do.
