I fabricate and weld many different things..... I am interested in the visual look of many things... especially the items the general public never sees....

Correct, I admired war equipment all my life but recently have realized that all the advancements are spawned by the desire to kill and conquer while enrichment for the masters. Behind even an honorable war is a rich profit. It is a scary world of violence

I had no idea an SLR could be used to shoot video that clear. I'm the guy with the attacking bench grinder. I use a gopro and an Iphone 13. I havent fooled with the settings on the iphone. It takes amazing video but I'd love to be able to smoothly zoom like an SLR.
Dear George, yes, this is with a Canon EOS 60D SLR that can vary the shutter speedI am shooting with a Galaxy 11 phone ...$100 phone and 5 years old.....it is the software I use to edit [apple I Movie] that allows me to 'zoom', but also moving the phone while recording...I do use a Canon EOS 60D SLR sometimes, to get extreme close ups of weld arcs, but the phone is fantastic.......due to the extreme wide lens......I hope this helps, Paul, please get in touch with email if you would like any more info, I hope you can watch some of my welding videos from last year.......Best Wishes and Keep up the fantastic work....

glad you enjoyed Don, Tig Welder and South Bend Lathe work......using live center in spindle and live center in tailstock......wood blocks on live centers holding 2 inch polished stainless tubing from rotating, but still able to be rotated by hand as the spine turns and I am using longitudinal feed......I have 384 feed speeds in longitude and cross feed.....pulsing the GTAW [TIG] and at .75 times per second, 10% amps at 10% down time, 100% Amps at 35% on time and the amps are set to 50 amps on welding machine.....the different shape of the weld bead is due to different feed rates.....gets a bit complicated as far as the look, so this old man has to write things down......the device I use for pulsing can do 20 pulses per second, If I use the other machine I have I can do up to 500 pluses per second, but that looks boring......have a wonderful day my friend, Paul
Hey Deltab9768, yes, it is a Miller Dynasty 280 Tig machine, 80 volts max open circuit .....it is pretty amazing arc length......and with the inverter machines, that have a capacitor high frequency, that makes it more amazing, as the transformer machines have continuous high frequency.....I may have to do a video with my old transformer machine and see the difference.....thanks for commenting and watching, Paul Brown......
