Turning some Bronze to get a decorative look,
pretty sketchy looking setup and hold.....but was really tame......
of course, no narration, just a arty video of the lathe...
South Bend 13" Tool Room from 1942.....
let me know what you think.....

Allistair, thanks so much for the great comment and for watching....I am still trying to find new ways to run the lathe to make odd parts.....goes to show, you can teach an old dog new tricks....best wishes, Paul...got a few up my sleeve making keyways and using lathe similar to a shaper....

Thank You Don......got some interesting surfaces on the Bronze bushing pin.....these are from a Class 8 truck, but I have no idea where they are located, first time I saw one was back in 1973 while working on Tractor Trailers, I was making a hammer from a used one, and when the bit broke through the hole [5/8" ?], that 1960's era Black and Decker 20 million horse power drill motor about broke my freaking arm......I learned real fast to beware of those guys......it took another 40 years to learn about dubbing the drill lips for brass, bronze , copper or hard rubber.......have a great day, and give Chloe a kiss for me....Paul

It would probably be a better video if the focus didn't keep hunting all the time. perhaps next time use a manual focus?
@ypaulbrown

well, that would be a solution, but with a 50 dollar cellphone the is 5 years old, I am somewhat limited in locking the focus in.....I can lock the exposure, but not the focus, thanks for commenting and watching the Pinball focus action........Paul
