Cab ride around Anglia with route information of line speeds and level crossings added to help with anyone route learning. These are made for information purpose only and not intended to be used as a training material.
All the videos are recorded while working and unfortunately I can only capture routes as I go over them but will add as and when I can.
My aim is to try and get the whole of Anglia and also create shorts of sidings and routes less used to help route learners and for people general interest.
Great video, that camera is working well at night. Sometimes the route indicators are so bright, it almost 'whites out' surrounding area. Wondered what the curve was like
@martyn6792 Yeah the LED lights blind us as well but at lest we cant miss them though, and am very happy with the camera still getting use to the new settings
from what I've hear it should be an MCB obstacle detection getting installed at dullingham also other AHB crossing in the area getting modified are Waterbeach, Dimmock's Cote, Six Mile Bottom, Meldreth Road and Milton fen all going to MCB obstacle detection except Meldreth Road which will be MCB CCTV kind of surprised to Milton fen AHB crossing getting modified since its a fairly quiet road with not many cars!
@martyn6792 Hi good spot but its trick of the camera if you pause the video at 23:57 you can see there is no light on the signal, this footage was gifted to me by a friend to edit and put up who used a different camera from what I do
Them sidings was used to park the 317s 4 coaches and the class 379s, them sidings also was used to store the 379s when withdrawn from GA use. Great video ans your new camera is great.
@gazzadon2447 Thanks for the info, the new camera is working well I have some more night runs to edit as the picture quality is much better than my last one. Am still learning all the settings on it so it might get better also it does 8k recording so might try that on day and see what it comes out like
Found your channel last week, great vids bud, anything to/from Norwich, Norfolk & Suffolk I will be watching, been on all of the lines at some point, and especially like this night video very interesting to see things at night. Would love to see Norwich to Sheringham cab view, can’t find one so far on RU-vid, but understand it is only where you have to go work wise…
Yes I've managed to get to the point now where money from the channel has enabled me to invest in a modern camera so am able to get high quality footage at night
Please in the future include in the discription or title in detail if it is mostly time lapse or normal speed and if it is natural operating sounds or if it is mostly muted or over dubbed with music because some of us don't want to give views for time lapse over dubbed cab rides.😅 😅😉😉🥺🥺🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Excellent view of the new Gullwing bridge, which was opened to traffic this weekend. Do you know whether anything uses these relatively newly-commissioned sidings? Where did the vehicle you seem to be pushing as you exit the sidings come from?
@stephendavies6949 Yes, they had the Tour of Britain head over it on the Sunday. They was a ballast train that did use it but that has stopped just now but I have heard that it might run again and the only machine that stable there are the OTM's. As for the vehicles there is two different ones used so the first was a Unimat 73908 that was the entering part and for the exit it was 73919 which is a 08 Compact that has a trailer fitted to one end that has a brush box extra fuel tank and and spare oils for the machine
@martyn6792 Glad you enjoy them its a different view you don't get to see plus it helps drivers route learning as I've not seen any other videos like this
@@AngliaCabRides-vv5ck your videos are fairly unique in showing moves like this, what I found slightly odd was using the loop and not just siding 1, also a lack of ground / position signals
@martyn6792 we used it so it saved stopping and setting the points as there is nothing to state we have to use No.1 siding as for the signals within the siding you are only aloud one train movement within there so there is no need for any
Thanks for recording this, really enjoyed barrelling down the Great Eastern mainline and then along to Yarmouth and Lowestoft! A smashing little set of routes there. Silly question, where are you normally based - did this involve a short stay in East Anglia for you? Hope you enjoyed it if so!
@trainsonthebrain Glad you enjoyed the video, There is no silly questions if you want to ask you are welcome too, I am based in Anglia I have been here for about 5 years now having previously been over Wessex area.
@@AngliaCabRides-vv5ck excellent. I’m from West Norfolk originally, moved to London for work but still head back as often as I can. Went to to Wroxham recently for a trip an along the Broads, fantastic!
@jakesdiner That is are trailer (fixed to the machine) it has an additional fuel tank, lockable storage compartments and also a brush box to tidy up the 4 foot after we have tamped it.
@annamarietrindal1967 Did you watch the video as you would see that I didn't stop at Norwich but I did at Great Yarmouth and this was not a passenger train but a OTM
Looks like some CWR going in along the haddiscoe new cut, I was told they weren't going to do that stretch due to cost and the flooding issues there. Great video really enjoyed it. I help look after the station gardens at somerleyton so was nice seeing them from a driver's perspective 😊
Yes, I saw them there as well. Hopefully, it will be replaced soon. You and your colleagues do a good job keeping the station looking clean and tidy and well presentable at Somerleyton it's always good to see
@@AngliaCabRides-vv5ck that explains it , just thought crikey he ain’t saving a planet 🌎 going that route thought when you left Ipswich you would go Woodbridge Blyth Lowestoft. Any way you got there safe and that’s always the main thing. Thanks for your reply. Take Care . 🚂
@kenboyooo Unfortunately we are not aloud to run over the East Suffolk line via Woodbridge during the day as we are restricted to 20 Mph over the route and would cause delays to the passenger trains, thank you for watch and you're welcome to ask more questions anytime
