We are travelling Australia 🇦🇺 full time with NO PLANS and NO END DATE. It's not a big lap its more of a whatever comes up. Being led by the weather, border closures, work availability and most of all whatever takes our fancy at the time. Our passion for free camping, 4x4 driving, self sufficient off grid living, will help us find exciting and unusual locations off the beaten track. We are travelling in our Isuzu NPS 75/155 4x4 Truck and towing our 23 foot off road Bushtracker caravan. We sold our off grid Goat farm to fund our new mobile off grid lifestyle. We plan to share our Vlogs with you so that you can see some awesome places to go. Or you can experience it through our travels. (of course we will still do some touristy stuff)
Happy viewing Katty and Karl 😍

Great video guys! Looking like you guys are having a great time! You scored well with Alice! That meal looked amazing!! Hope all is going well and enjoying your new adventures! Sure looks that way! Stay safe and pray that God keep you guys safe!
Great to see the new vid... been watching you guys on Marine Traffic...we are still stuck in Bundaberg... hoping to catch up when we are back on the water... Spirit of Odyssey ....
Gday John, we are currently at Airlie Beach. Planning on doing the Whitsunday islands and the reef , slowly heading back to Bundy around October. So hopefully we can catch up somewhere. Cheers, karl & katty
What an adventure - love it! Love skipper Alice and her skills - as well as adding a nice change from your mug Karl 😂 Good work on the preparation of the yacht to go exploring! ❤️
I have been following your Chanel and your Ketch while solo sailing up the coast and enjoying the slow burn comedy you provide. I have been Hoping to steal Alice from you If I got the right opportunity but No luck so far! I now see you have made it to Airlie beach well done. I might see you around at the dinghy dock or club asking where the heck is Alice!! Keep up the good work Cheers Matt 😎🤷♂⚓⛵
@ridge69 Yes correct, that is why we had the correct hitch for the tongue weight. There is no way that hitch was going to work. The video says it all. The Gen Y was trying to rip/ twist the tow bar off the back of the truck. Just a bad design. Cheers
@@nowhereboundtouring that's too bad. Just got one. Mine works wonderfully. 30ft 7950lb travel trailer has a 850lb tongue weight. Got the 10k boss hitch
Stumbled across your video's and have been enjoying them. Jealous of your truck. What was the maps app you had open on your tablet in the beginning of this video? Can it be used without a signal? Actually do you have a list of apps you would recommend for camping and 4x4 driving?
Gday Dan, We use Hema 4WD maps. They are fully downloadable so you can use them without mobile signal. I think they are ok, but there is better. There app based map needs mobile signal so we do not use that one. No good for us. Thanks for watching…. Cheers, karl
Congrats on your first trip out after 12 months of back-breaking work. If you looked at that maintenance list before you started you would have passed out! It's incredible what you have achieved so far ❤❤❤.
Hey Katy and Karl great to see yu out their and doing it.I wondered why I had not seen you for a while.Have a great time and I will be watching out for your vids
Great to see you guys put there in your beautiful sailpboat!! Happy belated birthday Karl. All these adventures will keep you young and fit!! Stay safe and enjoy the new adventures!
So excited you's are sailing now but you have to film anchoring, where your anchored and the weather at anchorage!!!! But I forgive you's as your excited and flabbergasted!!!
And it is only getting better. It’s different travelling by sailing, as you don’t cover the distance as on land. It forces you to slow down and sort of be in the place, not just travel past it.
From the comfort of my land-docked lounge chair I have laughed, cried, cheered, and celebrated your energy, enthusiasm, resourcefulness, and love for each other. Today I share in your big sail, your maiden voyage on Awaitea. I am truly happy for you all and wish you all the very best for all your new adventures on the friend[ship] with mate[ship]s sailing the current[sea] of life together. From now on, maybe rename your channel Nowhere Bound Sailing? XX [BTW... is your Bushtracker still for sale?]
Thanks, we feel your support and enthusiasm. We are hoping to continue our land based truck travels, but of course at the moment we will be sailing. The Bushtracker has gone to new owners a few months ago. Lots of good and bad adventures over the next month or so to come. We are currently in the Whitsundays Islands 👍
Guys this is very exciting we have all waited a long time for the start of your adventures what a beautiful spot to start congratulations on all your hard work mate have fun and be safe hope you can saught out the steering alice is doing a great job thank you alice for looking after our green horns 😂😂
Really feeling for you guys my last 40ft steel SV had duel helm hyd steering problems for the 16 year's i owned her not as bad as yours appears to be though all those years sailing OZ and Asia would have been much more pleasant without chasing the ongoing rust repairs. ,have owned a solid glass SV with cable steering for the last 3 years and all the stress has melted away.all the best TnT.
I'm sorry for giving you's so much shit but I got sick of your maintenance vids and thought you would be marina bound for life. So much different from ya truck and caravan, so proud of you both well done and stick with it for life. A different place each night for life well done. Luv Steve
Gday Steve, We are now really out and about, just clocked up 450nm, and heading toward the Whitsunday Is. Had some good wind, big swell and fast sailing ⛵️
Yes luckily, as when has gone wrong, at least I have some idea of what’s happening, and generally know how to sort it out even before I look at the issue 👍
Great to see you guys out on the water at last! Alice seems like a lovely young lady and a great addition to the sailing team and to teach you guys! Look forward to seeing more of your adventures!! stay safe. I think it is pretty incredible what you guys have been able to achieve with this old boat. It looks stunning and Alice is glowing when talking about your home on the water! You might be able to learn some french! Bon voyage mon ami's au revour andre
@@nowhereboundtouring have a great trip! Hopefully Alice can stay in wonderland (being with awesome couple and your dream boat) with you guys for months until you are confident of sailing on hour own! Please God!
Hi Andrew….. good news…. We are still alive 😀. Almost up near Mackay. Broken a few things & fixed a few things, but all is good. Biggest sailing day , 11hrs, 70nm, average speed 7knts which is good for a heavy boat and amature crew.
