I always felt like Debbie's character was spun in a bad direction. She became a typical average girl from the neighborhood. She was a bright, kind kid and they made her a victim of the neighborhood. I hate that. I understand why that happened it's realistic but still she had more potential.
A lot of what happens on shameless is exaggerated and there's like a 0% chance it will happen in real life but everything is rooted in reality. This shows is heavily based on a true story. They take real life and spin it a little for TV. Fantastic writing if you ask me.
No doubt Monica is my favourite Gallagher. She truly loved her kids. She is not a p..ce of shit. She just very sick. But she has a pure loving soul, she's really kind rare creature. With bipolar Ian breaked heart of his love, and she never acted cruel and never wanted all the pain she bring
I can’t hate Monica and I kinda hate the fact that when Ian had bipolar disorder they were all here for him but when it was Monica they all hated her and called her a crazy bitch I mean I get it she ran away and leave her children behind her but she is also bipolar so it’s not really her fault that she acts this way she really loved her children and tried to e here but she can’t take care of them she needs someone who will take care of her and help her
Nobody ever talked about how frank felt when she wasn't around, when she left and then came back like nothing happened. They really loved eachother but she affected him negatively i always hoped she would change and that they would be a lovely couple again but they lost that chance
Tbh i Felt super bad for her everytime she gets Rejected/Scolded by Her Kids, she was really Trying her best to love Them, but i couldnt blame the kids, she was gone for years
Monica is my favorite character. I love her relationship with frank, they can be worlds apart and still love each other. A love that last through time and space.
I love them so much and I like how they hold each other accountable for their mistakes. Most people hated how lip treated Fiona after the coke incident with Liam but if that happened in real life everyone would probably be the Lip
I understand that. But in the same since. Everyone wants Fiona to be perfect. They've all fucked up. Debbie had a child. Lip is turning into Frank with his drinking. Carl went to jail. And ik it had to do with the medication. But, Ian stole Mickey's baby and ran from cops and then flushed his pills.
@@hannahwilliams4437 it might be weird to comment this now lol but i think lip viewed fiona as a mother and held her on a pedestal, so when she fucked up it hit a little harder. whenever fiona messed up, it effected everyone horribly. like when fiona left the coke out, lip was rightfully upset to be tossed all the responsibilities while also juggling college. granted, fiona is young and only should be and act like an older sister, the mother title is too much for her or anyone to handle at her age esp w six kids
William Macy and Chloe Webb were dripping with onscreen chemistry, the way they convincingly fed off each other. I felt like I was watching a real life addict couple who really loved one another, yet were too damn toxic to go on together. It hurt when she said: "I am dying, Frank" 😔
She is literally THE only one who Frank truly cared about and what happened to. Her scene when she tells Frank she's dying was kinda gut wrenching. I didn't know how to feel about that scene, in some regards. 😔
I find it so ironic that my mom is also a bipolar addict and so am i and it would b hell when we would be together. It just hurts cause people know that their sick, and decide to have a family to love then an dont care about what genes they can pass on to their kids. Thats why i dont want to have kids, i rather not have one of mine dealing with the issues i go thru daily.
Whats sad is frank was the only one on this show who actually seen the good in her even when she left them even when she was going through bull crap in life. Think this segment and the funeral showed how much love frank had for her and how he didn't judge for the bad ones but lived and loved for the good moments.
I’m rewatching shameless, I’m on the episode of their wedding & her death. I love them so much. she died knowing that he loved her. & he knows that she loves him too. 🤍 Monica&Frankforever.
Ian's was him finding out he was bipolar, lips was his drinking problem, Debbys was pushing people away or people not supporting her with franny. Carls was really his whole life (but not as bad as fiona he was just sorta not noticed that much at home and obviously minus the academy) but mainly the period after he got arrested. Fionas life was just always bad, but especially at the end of season9 when her own family starter blaming her for not having a nice life even when she gave up everything for them. Liam hasn't really had one yet I don't think ( I haven't watched season10 yet)
I think in a way I was glad Monica died here. I hated whenever she was back because it meant she would eventually leave, it’s nice that she died with who she was meant to be with, died on a good note, she was with her family celebrating and just being happy before she died.
