Honestly though, I think anything with such high abuse/addiction potential is better avoided, in case things spiral out of control. For example, you're pretty unlikely to end up in a crazy situation in over your head with shrooms, but with something like coke or phenibut it can easily happen, even if some people manage to avoid it.

Bro, i know what kind of existential horror and pain you went through as result of realizing oneness. I went through exactly same thing. In my case, it was oneness, in addition to that, even sinister concepts that almost drove me to the brink of insanity was radical solipsism and the idea that Life is a dream. More and more i contemplated these concepts, i couldn't find the difference between reality and dream. In a lucid dream, everything seems so real to you that you completely forget you're dreaming. You interact with people, they talk back, laugh, cry and connect, yet, upon waking up, you realize they were just your dream characters and figment of your imagination, it was just all you. This was even worse than oneness for me, it brought me an indescribable amount of profound loneliness, and soul crashing existential terror. I really felt like i understood something that was never supposed to be understood. The suffering and loneliness it caused was literally infinitely deep. On top of that, i've suffered from severe anxiety and panic attack disorder along with OCD since i was thirteen. It was true hell!! I started my spiritual journey to end my suffering a decade ago but in the end, i ended up making it infinitely worse 😢. So, know that you're not alone in this endeavor. There are many others like us who want to know the secret of Life and going through very similar experiences.

The anxiety/not quite decent experience is either underdose or lost the magic area in my past abuse experience . (Did it in 90s without the Internets information disperal ability we have it now) Agree mdma is something that can be abused. Love the love of my first experiences but learnt the way it would draw me back over and over again made me step away from it (Eventually). Its a beautiful molecule The emotional havoc it created (depression) in my life just was not worth it. Low dose mescaline is very similar to mdma- Maybe 180 - 200mg. Without a come down. So at times I wonder if 2cb (mescaline derivative) at very low doses might not be similar in its own way , say at +- 7mg They say you have to 'work' for the euphoria on traditional psychedelics which feels earned and much more rewarding for that reason

@@Happy_Spatula yeah, I reckon the experience can mostly be replicated elsewhere with less negative effects. Love your channel and i can relate to allot of what you discuss in your videos. I have been taking phenibut everyday. I began this habit around a year ago, took a month break when i experienced horrible withdrawal but got through it. Started taking it again 9 months ago and have been taking it everyday since. I got into crazy dosages/redosing etc but lately I've settled for 5.5 grams once a day with no discomfort. I don't want to take it forever. I have overcome other addictions, heroin some years ago. And have stepped away from street drugs. One thing I find so difficult about this substance is how it still allows me to function, while hardly raising any eyebrows. In fact my ability to function is reliant upon it. It only becomes suspect once it starts leaving my system.
@BigDome1
@BigDome1 Месяц назад
Thanks dude! I really, really recommend getting off that stuff. I think it's absolutely imperative that you do so. Whether it's now or in a year from now, it will become harder and harder to maintain this habit. 5.5 grams a day is a LOT over the long term. I know that when you're in the midst of it, it can be really difficult to think about being off it, because it kind of takes over your body, and the thought of not being on it just seems cold and depressing. But the thing is, once you're off it, it's actually the thought of being back on it that's depressing! Being free from the grip of substances like that is truly an amazing feeling. You just have to take that leap of faith and trust that it's the right thing to do, because it honestly is. The long-term effects of it can be pretty severe, and the longer you use it for the longer it will take to recover. If you're going to get off it (which again, you definitely should), you have to make sure you taper though. There's more information about that online, but it's pretty essential. A slow, gradual taper with lots of other precautions. You'll have to come off it sooner or later, so the sooner you start the taper the better.

Tbh I agree with the resistance hypothesis that you posited in the last part of the video; our minds are finite by nature, and can only attempt to grasp the infinite (or God, as it may be) by bringing it down to our level, because that's how our minds are made to understand things, by delimiting them, by saying "no, this thing is not this other thing because it has different properties, a different form, etc." That's what empiricism is about, what science is about, but these objects cannot be fully understood by our mind, because we are not like them and cannot be like them, even though we carry bits of the infinite within us, being part of this world and everything else. Well, even if so, the resistance hypothesis wouldn't even make much sense, would it? Maybe we're just trying to piece something that is inherently unable to be pieced by us, because that's our nature, and that's okay; we can't change that. Nevertheless, I still find these experiences... maybe useful, in a sense, but it kinda goes beyond usefulness; it's about keeping us humble, and reminding us that we are as much a part of this Universe, that we are as much a cutout of the infinite essence of God as everything else. Sorry, this was one of my recent topics of interest as well; I'm finishing up my postgrad in history of philosophy
@BigDome1
@BigDome1 Месяц назад
Yeah, it does feel like something that we fight. A bit like a trip in itself: often our natural inclination is to fight it, which makes it so much harder. And yeah I like the idea that it's something that keeps us humble. And as you say, "beyond usefulness", it's more like it's just something there for us to see but not really be involved with. Something to remind us that we are human and limited by that. But some people seem to take it the wrong way, and take it to mean that they are all powerful.
