That's a cool desert sheep hunt. I shot my ram on Mount Jefferson up at 11,000 feet in 2021. There were a handful of very big rams then. My guide watched a cougar kill our target 174" ram.
We’ve had to many drought years and Lightning Creek has dried up too many times and the trout can’t survive that. The last time I was at Char Falls the falls was dry and it smelled like dead fish.
I'm researching a cow elk hunt for my son and me. Do you have any guide recommendations? What rifle, ammo/bullet did you use? Great video and great shot
We don’t typically use guides on our hunts but there are several in Northeast Nevada that do a great job. This shot was a 150 grain bullet in a .270 caliber. Thanks!
Thank you! Getting a bull tag in Nevada as a resident is almost like winning the lottery. I know for a fact he put tons of blood sweat and tears into this hunt!
Great video with excellent footage. I hope to cross paths with one of these incredible critters in the back country. Thanks for sharing! Have a good one!
