Hiking 3,730 feet of elevation in only 3.5 miles makes for a very steep hike. The Scotchman Experience showcases the hike to Scotchman Peak in northern Idaho. The peak is 7,009 feet and home to many mountain goats and covered in wild bear grass.
We timed this hike just right as the bear grass was blooming and made for some amazing scenery. Bear grass only blooms every 5 to 7 years in the area, so that made this one that much more special. We hiked this a few years back so it's nice to finally put it together and showcase this amazing climb.
