Sentenced was such an important band for me. I first heard them when I was 16, and they are still my favorite now at 37. This song in particular always pops into my head when I'm alone with myself.
Jonas isn't the most gifted singer, but he sure did figure out how to portray conviction. Dude just oozes feel, gets the mood exactly right. What an accomplished artist, that's like...the exact hardest thing to do, just feel the right way at the time and show it to a couple thousand people, and it's absolutely an amazing experience? Jonas is my favorite Ayreon orbit character. Just love that dude and every other project he's in.
De intuïtieve link met het universum en de realisatie dat we als mensheid op een evolutionaire reis door het bewustzijn zijn. Well done, Arjen! May the Force be with us all!
I love this live gig. It's not perfectly played, the guys are not pretty boys but hell if it's not full of emotion! The mic stand bend at the end perfectly encapsulates the vibe.
I was never really a COB fan, but hell I loved them everytime they were playing live shows. And I loved their energy. I remember being 16, and getting a T-shirt with "wildchild" written on it, and everytime I wore it, I was thinking of Alexi, and his off stage antics. COB were everything a young person wanted to be. Botherhood, wild parties, good times. When Allu died, it was like "ok guys, the good times are over now". I still miss these days. Festivals, mud, and weird, oldschool metalheads trashed beyond oblivion.
This is really at 196 bpm? I swear he hits like 8 notes a second in that solo. Not 3. Still learning but isnt that basically what that means? The fastest beats of a song dictates the bpm? Like lowest commom denominator?
